Kamala Harris Adds Abortion Extremism To Democratic Presidential Ticket

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden selected California Sen. Kamala Harris to be his 2020 running mate, prompting the Susan B. Anthony List to dub the duo the “most pro-abortion ticket” in U.S. history.

In the Senate, Harris is a pro-abortion extremist who supports late-term abortion, something the majority of Americans oppose. As the Attorney General of California, Harris actively targeted the pro-life journalists who investigated Planned Parenthood and exposed its leadership negotiating the harvesting and sale of aborted fetal body parts.

David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, released explosive undercover videos that led to House and Senate investigations, the 2016 removal of Planned Parenthood from the Texas state Medicaid program, and prosecution of tissue-procurement companies. Needless to say, it was a poor PR moment for the single largest abortion provider in the U.S..

In 2016, Kamala Harris launched an investigation on Daleiden and current Attorney General, Xavier Becerra, saw the investigation through. Daleiden was slapped with nine state felony charges and a federal jury in San Francisco delivered a $2.2 million verdict against Daleiden and fellow investigator, Sandra Merritt, for conspiring to commit fraud and violating state and federal recording laws.

Lila Rose, Founder of Live Action, said on Twitter Tuesday, “Harris abused her power as CA Attorney General to raid the home of @daviddaleiden. She prosecuted pro-life journalists when they dared investigate @ppfa’s selling of baby parts. She supports killing babies up until birth.”

In 2016, Daleiden’s apartment was raided and the CMP said Harris’ officers seized video files from Daleiden’s apartment as well as personal information. In a post, Daleiden said his “First Amendment work product” was taken. He described the raid as “an attack on citizen journalism.”

“This is no surprise — Planned Parenthood’s bought-and-paid-for AG has steadfastly refused to enforce the laws against the baby body parts traffickers in our state, or even investigate them,” he said.

In May, Daleiden filed a lawsuit against Harris and Becerra accusing them of violating his First Amendment rights, selectively using California’s two-party recording law as a “political weapon” to silence “disfavored speech,” and conspiring with Planned Parenthood on a politically driven prosecution.

A CMP press release stated, “While running for U.S. Senate, Harris had a secret in-person meeting with Planned Parenthood executives in Los Angeles, including witnesses in her investigation, to discuss issues in the investigation as part of Planned Parenthood’s political agenda in California. Two weeks later, Daleiden’s home was raided by the California Department of Justice.”

The American Life League president, Judie Brown, stated, “The fact that Biden would pick her shows his total submission to Planned Parenthood—the operator of the largest abortion chain in the United States.”

As a senator, Harris’ abortion extremism gave her a 0% rating from the  National Right to Life Committee and a 100% rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote, said in a statement, “Like Joe Biden himself, Kamala Harris favors radical abortion policies including late-term abortion paid for by taxpayers, as well as forcing Catholic religious orders like the Little Sisters of the Poor to provide abortion drugs in their healthcare plans.”

Harris has called for repeal of the Hyde Amendment which protects taxpayer from being forced to fund abortion. She supports “codifying Roe,” which would prompt Congress to establish an “affirmative and statutory” right to abortion, prohibiting states from enacting restrictions. Harris also promotes a plan that would force states and localities to seek prior approval and clearance through the U.S. Department of Justice before placing any limits or “restrictions” on abortions.

Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life, said in a statement, “Sadly, both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris see the lives of precious unborn babies as expendable. Joe Biden could not have picked a more extreme pro-abortion running mate.”
