Bill Nye the Science Guy joined Fox News’s Tucker Carlson on Monday to talk about global warming, but refused to answer any basic questions about it, and instead went on a weird rant about the White House.

When Carlson asked Nye to what degree human activity is causing climate change, Nye refused to answer. Instead he went on a lengthy, meandering diatribe about dinosaurs and the Ice Age.

“I’m asking you a simple question about the rate of climate change,” Carlson said. “I’m asking you a simple question and because, since the science is settled, I hope you can answer it in simple terms, which is: without human activity, how long would it have taken for us to reach this level of warmth in our climate.”

“It’s not clear that it would have happened,” Nye said. “Humans have changed the climate so drastically there would have been another ice age, but that’s ain’t gonna happen because of you and me.”

After refusing to answer any questions and pontificating about grapes and the fate of ski resorts in Europe, Nye concluded the segment with a conspiracy theory about the White House.

“So you guys are the mainstream media, and I can tell you why there are leaks, because the president has created two factions in his administration. They don’t like each other so they leak. It’s not from the outside, it’s from the inside,” Nye said. “Carry on, Mr. Carlson, I’m sure we will cross paths again.”
