Being a feminist doesn’t mean you hate men, Clinton explains.

Lena Dunham and Hillary Clinton sat down to chat about what it means to be a feminist.

Dunham will soon be launching her new email newsletter, Lenny, on September 29th, and it will feature an exclusive sit-down interview with Clinton. In Politico’s preview of the interview, Clinton explains to Dunham what feminism is.

“It doesn’t mean you hate men!” Clinton exclaimed. “It just means we believe women have the same rights as men, politically, culturally, socially, economically, that’s what it means.”

Clinton thinks it’s really odd when women think that it’s important they have the same rights as men, but resist the feminist label. Clearly the two don’t understand why some women are hesitant to associate themselves with some of the extreme aspects of feminism that the movement has become known for.

Perpetuating fake campus rape statistics, insisting upon access to abortion on demand, and outright man-hating have become major attributes of the more vocal elements of modern feminism.

But those probably don’t bother Clinton or Dunham, as they both are huge fans of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, which also released a series of videos on what sexual consent means last week.

This rest of this interview will undoubtedly be softball, as Dunham has publicly expressed her love for Hillary Clinton more than once. Here’s one example:

The interview comes after Clinton’s campaign announced that they will be rebooting her image to seem more like a human, and less like an out-of-touch politico – which explains why she’s been trying so hard to seem young and hip lately.

The full interview is set to be released next Tuesday.
