Lyman: Conservatives Can’t Risk Losing 2 House Seats In Wisconsin

“Conservatives, especially in Wisconsin, cannot afford to drop the ball like they did during the 2023 contest when Janet Protasiewicz had won the … Supreme Court seat. The next day a bunch of liberals actually filed, and they sued over the state’s legislative maps, the court overturned those maps, Republicans had to cave to Governor Evers’ newly drawn maps and Republicans lost a bunch of [state] seats. So if Susan Crawford wins today, there’s a chance that those maps can get challenged again and Republicans can lose two House seats,” The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman explained on Mornings With Maria.

“Also notable on the Wisconsin ballot, [voters] will be able to choose [in] a referendum on enshrining voter ID in the Constitution. It’s already state law there, but that is extremely important for election integrity going forward into ’26 and ’28.”
