In an act of striking transparency, Florida Agricultural Commissioner and self-proclaimed “qualified candidate for governor” Nikki Fried accidentally admitted that the corporate media is controlled by the Democratic Party.

The Democrat Florida gubernatorial candidate’s tweet displays her confidence not only in the corporate media’s overwhelming left-wing bias but also that this bias can and will be leveraged to propel her and other Democrats to electoral success in the 2022 elections. But while Fried boasts about this one-sidedness, Americans’ trust in the media has spiraled downward, with the annual Edelman Trust Barometer, shared exclusively with Axios, revealing it is at an all-time low.
“For the first time ever, fewer than half of all Americans have trust in traditional media,” Axios said in January, citing the poll and reporting that 58 percent of Americans believe that “most news organizations are more concerned with supporting an ideology or political position than with informing the public.”
The poll also revealed a decidedly partisan split, with a significant 57 percent of Democrats and only 18 of Republicans believing the media deserves their trust.
The public’s distrust in media corresponds with the press’s increasing dishonesty and obsession with Donald Trump, and tech giants’ record of censoring information unfavorable to Democrats. In the lead-up to the 2020 election, corporate media ran cover for Hunter Biden with the help of Big Tech after the discovery of his laptop, which contained incriminating evidence against the Biden family. That same corrupt media peddled the Russia collusion hoax for years, launched a smear campaign on now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, gaslit viewers by insisting months of coast-to-coast violent riots were mostly peaceful protests, and wrongly insisted that MAGA “insurrectionists” bludgeoned a Capitol Police officer to death with a fire extinguisher, to name a few.
Now at least one Democrat is being honest about the corporate media’s left-wing bias that propels the left.
