During the first Republican presidential debate on Thursday night, Donald Trump told Fox News Channel moderator Megyn Kelly that he sometimes referred to women as “disgusting” and “fat pigs” because he doesn’t like political correctness. On Friday, The Donald did his best to make political correctness look like a pretty awesome idea:

During an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon Friday night, Trump said that Kelly only asked tough questions of him because “there was blood coming out of her whatever.” Seriously. Pick your jaw up from the ground, because that actually happened.
“Well, I just don’t respect [Megyn Kelly] as a journalist,” Trump told CNN via phone interview. “She gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions.”
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes,” Trump continued, “blood coming out of her whatever.”
“In my opinion, she was off-base,” he concluded. “She’s a lightweight. I couldn’t care less about her.”
The next GOP presidential debate is scheduled for September 16 at the Reagan Library in California and will be carried by CNN.
