SCOOP: Hillary’s 2016 Website Says Her Campaign Isn’t Liable For ‘Deletion Of Files Or Email’

If you thought former Hillary Clinton’s use and deletion of a secret private e-mail server while she served as Secretary of State was brazen, check out her brand new 2016 presidential campaign website. The terms of service for the new website state that Hillary’s campaign is not liable for the deletion of files or e-mail.

Hillary’s 2016 presidential campaign was announced today in an e-mail from Washington super-lobbyist John Podesta. Hillary Clinton followed up on the e-mail by releasing a two-minute video announcing her second run for the White House.

Despite the announcement, Clinton still finds herself embroiled in an e-mail scandal. She ran a secret, off-books private server to house all of her e-mail as Secretary of State. Then, after the server’s existence came to light, she and her team deleted its contents, even though they had been subpoenaed.

And that’s why the contents of Hillary’s new campaign website are so interesting: the terms of service at HillaryClinton.com state that the campaign is not liable for “deletion of files or email[.]”:

Limitation of Liability. IN NO EVENT SHALL HFA OR OUR EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR VOLUNTEERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITES, THE SERVICES, THE CONTENT OR THE SITE MATERIALS CONTAINED IN OR ACCESSED THROUGH THE SITE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY OR RESULTING FROM RELIANCE BY USER ON ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM HFA, OR THAT RESULT FROM MISTAKES, OMISSIONS, INTERRUPTIONS, DELETION OF FILES OR EMAIL, ERRORS, DEFECTS, VIRUSES, DELAYS IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION OR ANY FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE, WHETHER OR NOT RESULTING FROM ACTS OF GOD, COMMUNICATIONS FAILURE, THEFT, DESTRUCTION OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO HFA’S RECORDS, PROGRAMS OR SERVICES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF HFA, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, WHETHER ACTIVE, PASSIVE OR IMPUTED), PRODUCT LIABILITY, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHER THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITES OR THE SITE MATERIALS EXCEED ANY COMPENSATION YOU PAY, IF ANY, TO HFA FOR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SITES.

The same paragraph also states that the Hillary 2016 campaign is not liable for “loss of data” related to the website. Hillary is expected to spend the next several weeks traveling through Iowa.
