NBC News’ glaring media bias was on full display Tuesday night during one pro-life activist’s remarks at the Republican National Convention.

During the speech of former Planned Parenthood facility director Abby Johnson, now a prominent voice in the pro-life movement and founder of And Then There Were None, a nonprofit that seeks to help abortion workers leave the industry, NBC flashed a chyron labeling Johnson an “Opponent of Abortion Rights.”

Any number of other descriptors would have been more accurate — “pro-life activist,” “anti-abortion spokeswoman,” “former Planned Parenthood employee” — but the mainstream media just doesn’t know when to quit.

Ari Fleischer, a White House press secretary under President George W. Bush, went straight for the network’s throat, tweeting, “Did they describe supporters of gun control as ‘opponents of gun rights’?”

Students for Life tweeted what would have been another fitting title, saying, “Hey @NBCNews — Abby Johnson is a supporter of LIFE!”

No chyron smear could distract from the substance of Johnson’s speech, which unpacked the racist past and present of the abortion industry, starting with Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger.

“Margaret Sanger was a racist who believed in eugenics. Her goal when founding Planned Parenthood was to eradicate the minority population,” Johnson said. “Today almost 80 percent of Planned Parenthood abortion facilities are strategically located in minority neighborhoods, and every year, Planned Parenthood celebrates its racist roots by presenting the Margaret Sanger Award.”

Nor could NBC’s bias cover up the harrowing firsthand accounts from a woman acutely aware of the interworkings of an industry that has snuffed out millions of lives.

“For me, abortion is real. I know what abortion sounds like. I know what abortion smells like. Did you know abortion even had a smell?” Johnson implored.

“Life is a core tenet of who we are as Americans,” Johnson concluded. “And this election is a choice between two radical, anti-life activists and the most pro-life president we have ever had.”

“In her groundbreaking Republican National Convention speech, Abby Johnson courageously exposed the brutal reality of abortion, the lies of Planned Parenthood, and the extreme agenda of Democrats like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in history,” said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser in response to Johnson’s remarks. “The contrast to the Democrats, who spent their entire convention downplaying their radical stance, could not be starker.”
