Federalist Publisher and Fox News Contributor Ben Domenech recommended Americans “consider the possibility we are led by idiots,” Wednesday after thousands of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails were revealed in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request this week offering insight into bureaucratic operations during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.
“There’s always the possibility that they are in reality very stupid people doing their jobs well past their prime,” Domenech said of elite bureaucrats, “operating with the kind of taxpayer-funded hubris that blinds them to their own failings.”
On “Fox News Primetime,” Domenech explained the slogan came after former FBI Director James Comey’s social media accounts were found immediately after he teased their existence.
“But our new example is our god-emperor of COVID Anthony Fauci, whose emails were released in response to a series of FOIA requests and show what a false god he was,” Domenech said. “The emails are explosive. That’s no exaggeration.”
Domenech explained.
There’s hypocrisy in them, mixed messaging, spin, there’s naivete and malice about his unwillingness to accept that the Chinese Communist Party was suppressing information about COVID during the early days. They detail an absolutely scandalous effort by Dr. Fauci to push the animal theory about the origins of COVID and undermine the theory the virus leaked from a lab.
Meanwhile, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director “repeatedly tried to manipulate” the public into blind compliance with viral mitigation efforts from masks to social distancing.
“He thought you were too stupid and ignorant to act like adults,” Domenech said. “He doesn’t seem to think he owes anyone an explanation.”
