Lt. Col. David Kilcullen joins Senior Editor Christopher Bedford to discuss the new book “The Dragons and the Snakes: How the Rest Learned to Fight the West.”
On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, Kilcullen explains why countries around the world are either “dragons” or “snakes.” Both dragons and snakes have evolved post-Cold War and now these bad actors are plaguing the international stage and attacking the West, according to Kilcullen.
“We have slain a large ‘dragon,’ talking about the Soviet Union, but now [the United States] finds [itself] in a jungle filled a bewildering variety of poisonous ‘snakes.’ And in many ways the ‘dragon’ was easier to keep track of,” Kilcullen argues.
