Federalist Senior Contributor Benjamin Weingarten joins Senior Editor Mollie Hemingway on The Federalist Radio Hour to discuss his new book “American Ingrate: Ilhan Omar and the Progressive-Islamist Takeover of the Democratic Party.”
In this episode, Weingarten argues that Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., would be guilty of working with foreign entities if she were held to the same standards Democrat’s issued for President Trump in the Robert Mueller investigation.
“If we applied the ‘foreign collusion’ Mueller mandate to Ilhan Omar, what would we find based upon open source reporting? What I concluded was [Omar] would be guilty on every single count of every last allegation raised,” Weingarten said.
Weingarten also argues that Omar is a symbol of not only where Democrats are, but where the Party is headed.
“[Omar] actually is a symbol of where the Democratic Party is, and is going. And, we should take her seriously and not just sort of dismiss her as one of the 435 members of Congress,” Weingarten said.
