Dressed as a tie-dye bear, Sarah Palin rapped about butts on national television Wednesday night. That is not a sentence I ever expected to type.
As is customary on “The Masked Singer,” Fox’s bizarre hit show, the contestant eliminated on Wednesday removed her disguise. Bear had given its first and last performance. Based on clues, panelists guessed this particular “masked singer” to be everyone from Britney Spears to Tina Fey.

Bear, of course, turned out to be Palin. The show previously teased Wednesday’s ending as a “bombshell reveal you have to see.” Unmasked, the former governor delivered a deeply passionate performance of “Baby Got Back” on stage with Cannon. (One of the few celebrities who shares her views on abortion.) She was not shy about it. Palin later noted she altered the notoriously graphic lyrics to “exploit men.”
“So ladies, boyfriend got the butt” she sang.

“This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever done, that’s for sure,” said Palin. “But it’s all about fun. It’s unity. This is all good. This is something that our country needs right now too.”
Watching Palin’s performance from the judges’ table, a very surprised Nicole Scherzinger probably shared her audience’s reaction. “Oh my God, what is our show?” she laughed. “The Masked Singer,” by the way, is one of the most popular programs in America.
