Nicholas Cage has turned to song. Saddled with the emotional weight of an ongoing annulment battle, the actor sought refuge in karaoke this weekend. Footage of Cage passionately performing a haunting rendition of “Purple Rain” surfaced on Tuesday, captured “at a joint Sunday in L.A.’s Koreatown,” according to TMZ.

Cage has had a difficult month. The “National Treasure” star drunkenly married his girlfriend Erika Koike in Vegas on March 23, fought with her outside the Bellagio, then applied for an annulment four days later. She’s apparently fighting for “SPOUSAL SUPPORT!!!” reports TMZ.

Cage’s “Purple Rain” performance will surely linger in the American conscious longer than his marriage seems destined to last.
