During a demonstration in Toronto, Canada, a man roundhouse-kicked a pro-life woman on Sunday because he didn’t like what she had to say about abortion.
Marie-Claire Bissonnette, a pro-life activist in Canada, was participating in an annual silent demonstration called Life Chain, in which protesters hold up signs in opposition to abortion, when a man approached her and began to get in her face.
“If somebody gets raped and is like ‘I’m a 16-year-old and I can’t have this baby!’ think you should keep it?” he asked.
“It’s a baby,” Bissonnette responded.
In response, the man kicked her in the shoulder, knocking her to the ground and sending her phone flying.
Bissonnette wrote about the encounter for LifeSite News, which you can read in full here. In her account, Bissonnette writes that she flagged down police officers, whom she says did nothing to stop the man. She eventually filed a report hours later. Police have yet to identify the man in the video above.
