Ericka Andersen is the author of, “Leaving Cloud 9: The True Story of a Life Resurrected from the Ashes of Poverty, Trauma, and Mental Illness.” She joins Mary Katharine Ham on the Federalist Radio Hour to discuss how her husband’s memoir can be a message of hope to those who are drowning from an undeserved childhood, substance abuse, PTSD and anxiety.

“He said, ‘I didn’t know people were happy.’ He just thought people weren’t happy and life was hard,” Andersen said. “It goes to show what people think life is, it can be so distorted and so irrational…we want people in that situation with that perspective to know that’s not true.”
