On this episode of the Federalist Radio Hour, senior editors Mollie Hemingway and David Harsanyi recap this week’s news, Trump’s deal with the Democrats, the dying Russian collusion story, and their latest television obsessions.

“Legislatively, the story of the Trump administration and its Republican congress has been one of failure,” Hemingway said. “He wanted to be able to say he got the funding and the only path that made sense was to work with the Democrats.”

Harsanyi and Hemingway debate whether conservative ideas are upheld by elected Republicans, including the not-so-conservative President.

“The frustration of not getting things done, as you just framed it, is why people hate the Republican party,” Harsanyi said. “On the other hand, stopping things is just as productive as doing things and they did not let Barack Obama and his agenda become the agenda of this country.”
