“It’s a sandwich today, it’s a brick tomorrow … At the end of the day, this [sandwich thrower] has violent tendencies that culminate in physical [attacks]. And the fact that the grand jury chose not to indict him, it actually demoralizes other officers. Because if I’m an officer and I know I’m going to go out there, yeah maybe I’m going to get hit with a sandwich — but maybe I’ll be hit with a brick. And that’s going to reduce individuals who want to join law enforcement,” The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman said on Gutfeld! “We want [law enforcement] to feel like they’re being protected by the legal system when someone hurts them … I think this sends the wrong message to police officers that ‘We don’t have your back.'”
