European Soccer Fans Are Falling In Love With American Culture And It’s The Best Thing On The Internet

With America’s 250th anniversary on the horizon, these Europeans remind us how lucky we are to be here.

Europeans visiting the United States for the World Cup are traveling across the country, leaving many of them awestruck at American culture. Not only are they happy to be here, but many are visiting our best attractions — Buc-ees, Bass Pro Shops, Waffle House, and even Major League Baseball games — rather than the typical tourist destinations.

Anti-Americanism has run rampant in the United States in recent years. These European fans show the world that America and its citizens are more than the propaganda pushed by the corporate media.

Many of them have taken to the internet to show what they’ve found on their visit to the United States. This list compiles some of the best posts from these soccer fans.

1. Freddy visits Bass Pro Shops

Freddy may be the most famous of the European visitors, and for good reason. He’s from Germany and has been touring around the American South. Ever since his plane landed over a week ago, he’s been documenting his experiences learning about America and American culture. Since his account blew up online, football player J.J. Watt sent him to a luxury hotel and bought him gifts.

2. Waffle House at 1 a.m.

Freddy’s journey resonates because it’s immersive. On his trip, he’s had the quintessential American experience — a late-night meal at Waffle House.

3. “Scones and Mushrooms”

Wrong name, but he’s got the right spirit.

4. Steak for breakfast

In America, you can get almost anything for breakfast if you try hard enough.

5. More steak fascination

Steak in the United States is real and easy to find. Compare that with the European Union (EU), which has been cracking down on meat production in the name of environmentalism. Scientific advisors to the EU urged governments to disincentivize eating meat and cut “environmentally harmful” agriculture subsidies.

6. Tweeting at Ron DeSantis

7. National Anthem flyovers

It’s great watching the European mind finally begin to comprehend.

8. Cheering for the USA

The Europeans may be following our soccer team more than us. And they loved the country so much they decided to cheer for the USA!

9. Walmart exploration

I wish we could all feel this way when we entered Walmart.

10. Australians finding Outback Steakhouse.

It may not be the most authentic Australian cuisine, but our visitors weren’t complaining.

11. Rodeo

The city of Fort Worth, Texas, invited the Czech national team to visit the Stockyards district. While there, the team visited a traditional rodeo.

12. Embracing Midwestern culture

There’s nothing like continuing a barbecue in the middle of a storm. The Argentina national team is getting the true American experience.

13. Scotland fans meet the police

While some Americans protest against police and federal law enforcement, Scotland fans are posing for photos with them.

It’s wonderful to see non-Americans experiencing the best of this country and loving their time here. With America’s 250th anniversary on the horizon, these Europeans remind us how lucky we are to be here.
