Updated Jan. 19, 2022. One hundred nine lies and counting.
One year into his time in the White House and the end to President Joe Biden’s lies is nowhere in sight. Here is part two of The Federalist’s rigorous coverage keeping the Biden administration accountable with substantive fact-checking throughout the president’s tenure.
Biden Repeats Lie ‘Build Back Better’ Plan Cuts Deficit
Biden repeated the lie during his second ever presidential press conference his signature social spending bill would “cut the deficit.”
“My plan cuts the deficit, [and] boosts the economy by getting more people into the workforce,” Biden said at the White House.
Except an analysis from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) published in December predicted that the “Build Back Better” bill passed by the House would contribute $3 trillion to the deficit over a decade.
After the colossal spending package was blocked in the Senate, the president explained at his Jan. 19 press conference the White House was aiming to pass the legislation in “big chunks.”
“It’s clear to me that we’re going to have to break it up,” Biden conceded.
Biden Said Long-Term Inflation Wouldn’t ‘Get Out Of Hand’
Biden told voters in June 2021 that “there’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation on the way — no serious economist,” but as 2022 begins, his reassurances that inflation won’t continue are false.
He repeated the lie in July at a CNN townhall event.
“It’s highly unlikely that it’s going to be long-term inflation that’s going to get out of hand,” Biden said.

According to the December consumer price index released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, however, inflation in the U.S. surged to 7 percent in December, the highest inflation rate since 1982.
Biden Claims Trump, Republicans Want To ‘Supress’ Votes, ‘Subvert’ Elections
In a speech delivered Thursday as part of Biden and other Democrats’ efforts to turn Jan. 6 into a kind of 9/11, the president claimed that Trump and Republicans want to “suppress your vote and subvert our elections.”
“It’s wrong. It’s undemocratic. And frankly it’s un-American,” he continued.

In reality, however, Democrats and their buddies in Big Tech and the corporate media were the ones conspiring to rig the 2020 election. As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway reports:
Hundreds of laws and processes were changed in the months leading up to the election, sometimes legally and sometimes not, creating chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. Tech oligarch Mark Zuckerberg, one of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful men, spent $419 million — nearly as much as the federal government itself — to interfere in the government’s management of the election in key states.
Pro-Democrat propaganda in the media and censorship of conservative voices and damning stories like the New York Post’s report on Hunter Biden also contributed to the scheme.
Biden Doubles Down On ‘Pandemic Of The Unvaccinated’
Biden doubled down on the lie that COVID-19 is “pandemic of the unvaccinated” despite the rising number of breakthrough cases in people who have received the jab.
“This continues to be a pandemic of the unvaccinated. So we’ve got to make more progress,” Biden said, urging parents to get their kids the COVID jab.

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) January 4, 2022
Jen Psaki also repeated the pandemic of the unvaccinated lie during a White House press briefing.
“Isn’t it also fair to say that it’s still also a pandemic of the vaccinated, given the breakthrough cases that we’ve been seeing?” a reporter asked.
Psaki, however, ignored the question and encouraged people to get the shot.
“We should be very clear about the impact of not getting vaccianted,” Psaki said.

“Data from New York suggests the highly infectious variant is causing five times as many cases in vaccinated people as previous forms of the virus,” the Daily Mail reported.
Biden Makes Up Manchin Quote To Pretend The Senator Supports His Plans
Biden claimed Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia told members of the progressive caucus that he “misled” them by opposing the administration’s Build Back Better plan.
“…and Joe (Manchin) went on TV today, uh, (I don’t know) whether it’s TV or not, I’m told he was speaking to the Liberal Caucus in the House and said, ‘Joe Biden didn’t mislead you, I misled you,'” Biden claimed.
Ok so he did make it up: https://t.co/UbhHavwN8O
— AG (@AGHamilton29) December 21, 2021
Several people pointed out that Manchin never made a public statement that seemed to contradict his opposition to the Democrats’ plan. A White House spokesperson later admitted that Manchin never said what Biden claimed he did.
“The President was underlining that constructive and respectful conversations are happening …. However, the President wanted to clarify that Senator Manchin did not characterize himself as having been ‘misleading,'” the statement read.
Biden Claims He Played Key Role in Desegregation
In an address to HBCU graduates in December, Biden claimed that he “got started in politics because of the civil rights movement” and that he played a role in desegregating his community.
“I noticed some of your looks, and I thought you were wondering how does he know the black national anthem? Well, because I sat in the black church after going to 7:00 mass. I’m a practicing Catholic. And 10:00 on the Eastside, getting ready to go out and desegregate restaurants and movie theaters,” Biden said.
— Kyle Martinsen (@KyleMartinsen_) December 17, 2021
In 1987, however, Biden said that while he was “very concerned about the civil rights movement” at its prime in the 1960s, “I was not an activist.” Biden said he was “involved” in what the black community was thinking because of his time working at an “all-black swimming pool” but admitted he did not participate in any big protests for change.
“I was involved, but I was not out marching. I was not down in Selma. I was not anywhere else,” Biden said.
Biden Implies Vaxxed People Can’t Spread COVID (They Can)
Biden still believes that people who have had the COVID shot can’t spread the virus.
“Everybody talks about freedom and not to have a shot, or have a test. Well, guess what, how about patriotism? How about making sure that you’re vaccinated so you do not spread the disease to anybody else? What about that? What’s the big deal?” Biden asked.
Biden on vaccine mandates: "What's the big deal?" pic.twitter.com/Z4qYvcnFkF
— The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) December 15, 2021
This directly contradicts the data, which suggests that “people who get vaccine breakthrough infections can be contagious.”
“COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing infection, serious illness, and death. Most people who get COVID-19 are unvaccinated. However, since vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing infection, some people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19,” the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website states. “…People with vaccine breakthrough infections may spread COVID-19 to others.”
These breakthrough infections are on the rise in the United States as COVID variants blow through communities. Local and state health department data from around the nation indicates that more and more vaccinated people are not immune to catching a strain of COVID.
In Massachusetts, health officials reported more than 11,500 new breakthrough cases since last week. In total, the state has seen more than 100,000 COVID cases in patients who were reportedly vaccinated against the virus. The same trends are occurring in Tennessee, where vaccinated people “account for almost one in four new COVID cases statewide since Nov. 1.”
Biden Says Spending Bill Is ‘Fully Paid For’ While CBO Expects Price Tag of $3 Trillion Added to Deficit
An analysis of Biden’s sweeping spending plan from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) out on Dec. 10 predicts that the “Build Back Better” bill passed by the House would contribute $3 trillion to the deficit over a decade.
The estimate from the nonpartisan budget agency contradicts the president’s repeated claims that the bill is “fully paid for” by corporate taxes raising money for the trillions that will be spent on programs dedicated to welfare and climate change.
Biden once touted CBO estimates as “the gold standard” when it comes to economic modeling of congressional legislation.
Biden Claims He Never Supported War in Afghanistan
Biden, a longtime supporter of a U.S. military presence in Afghanistan, claimed this weekend that he’s always been against the prolonged war in the Middle Eastern country.
“Well, I’ve been against that war in Afghanistan from the very beginning,” Biden lied in an interview with CBS News’ Rita Braver. “We spent $300 million dollars a week and Afghanistan over 20 years.”
Joe Biden says the deaths of our 13 service members in Afghanistan were inevitable.

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) December 13, 2021
Congressional records, however, indicate that Biden, who was a Democrat senator from Delaware at the time, did vote in favor of “Authorization for Use of Military Force” on Sept. 14, 2001, just three days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He was one of the 98 “yeas” who agreed to move forward with the legislation that authorized “the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the recent attacks launched against the United States.”
Biden Pledged There Would Be No Vaccine Mandate
President-elect Joe Biden pledged in December 2020 he would pursue no such thing as a vaccine mandate for the novel Wuhan coronavirus.
“I don’t think it should be mandatory,” Bide said. “I wouldn’t demand it to be mandatory.”
1 YEAR AGO TODAY: Joe Biden promised he “wouldn’t demand [the vaccine] be mandatory.”
— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) December 4, 2021
In office however, President Biden has been aggressive in pursuing coronavirus vaccine mandates, signing one both for federal employees and one for private employers with 100 or more people on staff.
Biden’s mandate for the private sector, however, has been temporarily stalled by a federal court.
Biden Claims He Is Tested Daily For COVID-19. He’s Not.
Biden claimed that he is tested for COVID-19 daily after reporters questioned him about his scratchy voice. When asked by a reporter during a press briefing about it, however, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki clarified that the president is not tested daily.
“In the president’s remarks earlier today when he was asked about his cold, he said that he was he is being tested daily for COVID-19. My understanding was that it was done with less frequency of that. I know Dr. O’Connor said that he was tested three times this week. But is there a change in protocol where he is going to be tested daily? And what kind of tests was he getting, the antigen or PCR test?” CNN’s Arlette Saenz asked.
“I think we just put out some details from Doc O’Connor that outlines how many times he’s been tested and I believe the kind of tests that he received,” Psaki said. “He received those tests because he had a cold which would be considered a symptom but it’s not a change in protocol.”
“So he’s not going to be tested daily?” the reported asked.
“No,” Psaki replied.

Biden’s doctor released a written statement later in the day claiming that Biden is merely suffering from “some increased nasal congestion this week.”
“This can be heard in his voice and he is feeling the colloquially well-known ‘frog in ones throat,'” White House physician Kevin O’Connor announced.
Biden Pretends Rising Gas Prices Are Actually Falling
President Biden took credit for falling gas prices in Dec. 3 remarks at the White House while prices rise.

Biden Makes Up Story About 1967 Visit To Israel
At the Dec. 1 White House menorah lighting in celebration of Hanukkah, President Biden made up a story about a 1967 visit to Israel during the Six-Day War.
“I have known every — every prime minister well since Golda Meir, including Golda Meir,” Biden said in the East Room. “And during the Six-Day War, I had an opportunity to — she invited me to come over because I was going to be the liaison between, she and the Egyptians about the Suez, and so on and so forth.”

Biden Repeats False Claim That He Used to Drive A Tractor-Trailer
While touting the passage of the newly passed bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in Minnesota, President Joe Biden repeated the debunked claim that he previously drove a tractor trailer.
“I used to drive a tractor trailer,” the president said during an event at Dakota County Technical College.

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) November 30, 2021
The statement from Biden is one of several instances of the president falsely claiming that he drove such a vehicle. While speaking at an event in Pennsylvania over the summer, the president proclaimed that he had previously driven “an 18-wheeler.” When pressed by Fox News for evidence of such an instance occurring, a White House official pointed to a “December 1973 article from the Wilmington Evening Journal that showed Biden rode in an 18-wheeler on a 536-mile haul to Ohio.”
White House Falsely Claims That Biden Never Opposed COVID-Induced Travel Restrictions
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki falsely claimed that Biden never opposed international travel restrictions based on COVID-19.
“The President has not been critical of travel restrictions,” she said during a press briefing.
Jen Psaki tries to explain how Trump's travel bans were xenophobic, yet Biden's are not. pic.twitter.com/WDtYIToHw3
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) November 29, 2021
Biden did, in fact, criticize then-President Donald Trump in early 2020 for shutting down certain travel to the U.S. due to COVID-19 fears and said the decision was xenophobic but later tried to downplay his comments.
Psaki, however, revived the “xenophobic” narrative to justify Biden’s decision to suddenly shut down travel from certain foreign countries struggling with COVID-19.
“Before Joe Biden’s president, he said that COVID travel restrictions on foreign countries were hysterical xenophobia and fear mongering. So what changed?” Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked.
“What the president was critical of was the way that the former president put out I believe a xenophobic tweet,” Psaki said.
Most Afghans Not Vetted Before Entering U.S. Despite Biden’s Claims
Despite Biden’s claims that Afghan refugees would be vetted before entering the U.S., a new report suggests that “almost none of the 82,000 people airlifted from Kabul” underwent security evaluation.
In August, Biden promised in a statement that evacuees would be screened at security checkpoints.
“Planes taking off from Kabul are not flying directly to the United States,” the president said. “They’re landing at U.S. military bases and transit centers around the world. At these sites where they are landing, we are conducting thorough scrutiny — security screenings for everyone who is not a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.”
Instead of interviewing all of the Afghans entering the U.S., the Biden administration simply used pre-existing criminal and terrorist records to weed out some evacuees.
Biden Walks Back Claims About ‘Garbage’ Report Detailing Illegal Alien Payouts
Biden walked back claims about a Wall Street Journal report detailing hundreds of thousands of dollars in payouts to illegal aliens and said that he supported a compensation policy.
“If, in fact, because of the outrageous behavior of the last administration, you were coming across the border, whether it was legal or illegal, and you lost your child. You lost your child, [your child] is gone, you deserve some kind of compensation! No matter what the circumstances,” Biden said. “What that will be? I have no idea.”
Biden previously claimed the WSJ report was “garbage” and denied that the “administration is planning to pay illegal immigrants who are separated from their families at the border up to $450,000 each, possibly a million dollars per family.” One day later White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that the president is “perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the individuals and families who are currently in litigation with the U.S. government.”
Biden refused to answer further questions about potential DOJ settlements
Biden Claims His Administration Isn’t Paying Illegal Immigrants
During a press conference on Nov. 3, President Joe Biden denied reports that his administration was planning to provide payouts to illegal immigrants separated at the U.S. southern border.
“If you guys keep sending that garbage out? Yeah, but it’s not true,” he said. “That’s not gonna happen.”
The president’s claim, however, was refuted the following day by White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who told reporters that Biden is “perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the individuals and families who are currently in litigation with the U.S. government.”

— Arthur Schwartz (@ArthurSchwartz) November 4, 2021
Moreover, the American Civil Liberties Union also contradicted Biden’s claim, with Executive Director Anthony D. Romero telling Fox News that the plan is actively under consideration.
“President Biden may not have been fully briefed about the actions of his very own Justice Department as it carefully deliberated and considered the crimes committed against thousands of families separated from their children as an intentional governmental policy,” Romero said. “We respectfully remind President Biden that he called these actions ‘criminal’ in a debate with then-President Trump and campaigned on remedying and rectifying the lawlessness of the Trump administration. We call on President Biden to right the wrongs of this national tragedy.”
Biden Says Electric Cars Can Drive Across America On One Tank
President Joe Biden claimed electric cars can drive across America “on a single tank of gas.”
The average electric car however, can only travel between 250 to 350 miles before a required charge, according to the University of California Davis’ Institute of Transportation Studies. A trip from Los Angeles to New York is nearly 2,800 miles.
“You plug it in,” Biden said.

Biden Claims Glenn Youngkin Sought To Ban Books
While campaigning for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe in Virginia, President Joe Biden claimed Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin sought to ban books.
“He’s gone from banning a woman’s right to choose to banning books written by Pulitzer Prize and Nobel Prize winning author, Toni Morrison,” Biden said in the Washington D.C. suburb of Arlington.
It appears Biden is being pretty liberal with his use of the word "ban." As the Washington Post noted earlier today, the bill in question had bipartisan support and would have given "parents the right to opt their children out of sexually explicit reading assignments." https://t.co/1ypIakOhdx
— Philip Melanchthon Wegmann (@PhilipWegmann) October 27, 2021
The bill Biden’s referring to however, would have made Morrison’s 1987 work, “Beloved,” optional for students based on parental consent. McAuliffe vetoed the bill as governor.
Biden Claims He Has No Time to Visit the Southern Border
During his CNN town hall on Oct. 21, Biden claimed he has no time to visit the southern U.S. border.
“I’ve been there before,” Biden said, echoing an excuse that was often used by his Vice President Kamala Harris before she was pressured into a quick trip. “And I haven’t — I mean, I know it well. I guess I should go down. But the — but the whole point of it is: I haven’t had a whole hell of a lot of time to get down. I’ve been spending time going around looking at the $900 billion worth of damage done by — by hurricanes and floods and — and weather, and traveling around the world.”
Biden also used his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, and her visits to “both sides of the river,” the Rio Grande, as an excuse for his lack of presence.
Despite Biden’s claims that he’s too busy with other important matters to deal with the unraveling border crisis in person, the president has taken multiple vacations and flies back to his home in Delaware nearly every weekend where he escapes the scrutiny of visitor logs and pressing White House responsibilities.
Biden Blames Staffing Shortage on COVID Fear
During the same CNN town hall, Biden overlooked his role in creating widespread staffing shortages by lining the pockets of Americans with federal dollars. Instead, he blamed the labor shortages on a lack of COVID-19 vaccine mandates and mitigation techniques.
Not only did the president say people are “reluctant to go back to work because they’re afraid of COVID,” but he also claimed it’s because workers “are not required to wear masks, they’re not required to have shots.”

— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) October 22, 2021
The economy under Biden is still a disaster and trying to recover from government-mandated lockdowns and unemployment benefits that have pushed key workers to stay home. Polling also shows a majority of Americans have been personally affected by the Biden administration’s supply chain crisis.
Biden Says COVID Vaccine Prevents Virus Spread
The president falsely claimed in a speech justifying vaccine mandates that getting the COVID-19 vaccine prevents the spread of the virus from one person to another.
“We’re making sure health care workers are vaccinated because if you seek care at a health care facility, you should have the certainty that the people providing that care are protected from COVID and cannot spread it to you,” Biden said.
White House Says Biden’s Stance on Hyde Amendment Hasn’t Changed
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that President Joe Biden “opposes the Hyde Amendment” and “that has not changed.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki just told reporters that President Biden "opposes the Hyde Amendment."
— House Republicans (@HouseGOP) October 4, 2021
While Biden may have been clear about his opposition to the Hyde Amendment in the expensive reconciliation bill, the president hasn’t always been against it.
In July 2019, Biden’s now-vice president called him out for flip-flopping on the provision that stops taxpayer dollars from funding abortions. Biden originally expressed support for the amendment and even used his time as a senator to affirm it. During his presidential run in June 2019, Biden’s campaign announced he would uphold the Hyde Amendment, but when pro-abortionists pressured him, he reversed his position less than two days later.
McKenzie Confirms Biden Lied About Troop Recommendations in Afghanistan
Gen. Kenneth McKenzie recommended thaat President Joe Biden maintain a military presence in Afghanistan contrary to Biden’s claims otherwise.
“I recommended we keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan,” McKenzie told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Sept. 28.
Gen. McKenzie: "I recommended we keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan." Also says he predicted withdrawing them would cause the Afghan army to collapse and the Taliban taking over. Gen. Milley agrees.
— Josh Rogin (@joshrogin) September 28, 2021
In an August interview with ABC News, Biden denied just that.
“So no one told — your military advisers did not tell you, ‘No, we should just keep 2,500 troops. It’s been a stable situation for the last several years. We can do that. We can continue to do that’?” pressed George Stephanopoulos.
“No,” the president said. “No one said that to me that I can recall.”
White House Claims ‘Build Back Better Agenda’ Costs Nothing
The White House is claiming that Biden’s “Build Back Better Agenda” costs virtually nothing.
“My Build Back Better Agenda costs zero dollars. Instead of wasting money on tax breaks, loopholes, and tax evasion for big corporations and the wealthy, we can make a once-in-a-generation investment in working America. And it adds zero dollars to the national debt,” Biden tweeted.

Biden Amplifies Border ‘Whip’ Lie
President Joe Biden deepened his administration’s lies that mounted Border Patrol agents used “whips” against Haitian migrants at the southern U.S. border on Friday by claiming that “people were being strapped” and run over by horses.
“It was horrible to see. To see people treated like they did? Horses running them over? People being strapped? It’s outrageous,” Biden claimed.
The president repeated the administration’s promise to conduct an investigation into the incident, which started after footage and photos on social media went viral, and said that the people involved “will pay.” The White House already announced that Border Patrol in Del Rio would no longer use horses.

The photographer who took some of the photos that circulated to further the false narrative admitted on Friday that he never saw Border Patrol use the leather against anyone.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas previously said that despite viral claims amplified by the White House, Democrats, and the corporate media, Border Patrol agents were not whipping Haitian migrants who illegally crossed the border into the United States. One day later, Mayorkas changed his tune and told CNN viewers, “[I was] horrified by what I saw.”
“One cannot weaponize a horse to aggressively attack a child. That is unacceptable. That is not what our policies and our training require. … Let me be quite clear: That is not acceptable,” Mayorkas claimed. “Any mistreatment or abuse of a migrant is unacceptable, is against Border Control policy, training, and our department’s values.”
Biden Administration Scales Back COVID Treatments After Promising Them to States
The Biden administration is cutting back on sending free doses of monoclonal antibodies to red, southern states where they were used as a highly effective treatment for COVID-19 patients.
In a new policy shift, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that the distribution of monoclonal antibodies to states will now be centralized, moving away from the previous process which was based on direct orders and demand — an action that will almost certainly cut the number of treatments sent to southern, Republican-led states.
Days before the HHS announcement, Biden promised that the administration would “increase the average pace of shipment across the county of free monoclonal antibody treatments by another 50 percent.” The White House also pledged in the president’s “Path Out of the Pandemic” plan that the administration would implement this change in September.
“Monoclonal antibody treatments have been shown to reduce the risk of hospitalization by up to 70% for unvaccinated people at risk of developing severe disease. As hospital systems experience increased COVID-19 cases, many have identified monoclonal antibody treatment as a key tool to improve health outcomes, prevent hospitalizations and reduce the strain on overburdened hospitals,” the plan reads.

Biden Blames COVID-19 Case Spike on Unvaccinated
Biden blamed the United States’ most recent COVID-19 spike on people who haven’t received their dose of the shot.
“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Biden said in a speech, also tweeting that “people are dying and will die from COVID-19 who don’t have to.”
“If you haven’t gotten vaccinated, do it now. It could save your life and the lives of those you love,” he wrote.

“We are determined that we are going to deal with climate change and have zero net emissions by 2050, by 2020 make sure all our electricity is zero emissions,” Biden said.

Even earlier than that, in 2015, Biden claimed, “I’m prepared to accept that the moment of conception is a human life and being.”
“But I’m not prepared to say that to other God-fearing, non-God-fearing people that have a different view,” he said before clarifying that he was “not prepared to impose” that doctrine on others.

In 2012, Biden told his vice-presidential debate opponent Paul Ryan that “with regard to abortion, I accept my church’s position on abortion as a — what we call de fide (doctrine?).”
“Life begins at conception. That’s the church’s judgment. I accept it in my personal life,” Biden said.
Biden Claims He Visited Pittsburgh Synagogue After 2018 Mass Murder
Speaking before a group of Jewish leaders, Biden claimed that he visited the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh following the 2018 antisemitic attack on the worship site that left 11 people dead.
“I remember spending time at the, you know, uh, going to, uh, the, you know, the Tree of Life synagogue, speaking with them,” he said.
Here’s Joe Biden talking about visiting Tree of Life synagogue after the massacre there. The executive director of the synagogue says Biden is lying — he never visited. Totally normal. pic.twitter.com/GcFjU2u50i
— Arthur Schwartz (@ArthurSchwartz) September 2, 2021
The president’s claim was quickly deemed false, however, with Tree of Life Executive Director Barb Feige saying that Biden never visited the synagogue following the horrific 2018 attack.
“Barb Feige, executive director of the Tree of Life, said that Biden did not visit the synagogue in the nearly three years since the anti-Semitic attack,” the New York Post reported. “In a phone interview, Feige, executive director since July 2019, said firmly that ‘no’ Biden didn’t visit, even before taking office when he had a lower public profile as a former vice president and then-Democratic presidential candidate.”
Biden Backtracks on Promise to Stay in Afghanistan Until All Americans Get Out
Just a couple of weeks before the last of U.S. troops left Afghanistan, Biden said, “Yes. … if there’s American citizens left, we’re going to stay until we get them all out.”
STEPHANOPOULOS: Are you committed to making sure that the troops stay until every American who wants to be out is out?

Less than 24 hours after the full troop withdrawal by the administration’s Aug. 31 deadline, however, the Pentagon confirmed that Americans are still “stranded” in Afghanistan. Estimates suggest that hundreds, possibly thousands, of U.S. citizens are now at the mercy of the Taliban.

Biden Administration Claims It Has Taken Responsibility for Afghanistan Crisis
Secretary of State Antony Blinken falsely claimed that the Biden administration has taken responsibility for the chaos ensuing in Afghanistan.
“Is there anything about the shortcomings that have been so readily identified by all sorts of people that you guys are actually willing to take responsibility for yourselves?” one reporter asked.
“I take responsibility, I know the President has said he takes responsibility, and I know all of my colleagues across government feel the same way,” Blinken said. “And I can tell you that there will be plenty of time to look back at the last six or seven months, to look back at the last 20 years, and to look to see what we might have done differently, what we might have done sooner, what we might have done more effectively. … There’s going to be, as I said, plenty of time to do an accounting of this.”

Not only has Biden deflected blame for the United States’ botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, but Politico reported that the White House and “administration allies have begun aggressively touting the success of their evacuation efforts in the war-torn country,” despite the near-universal consensus that the evacuation was a crisis.
“They’ve framed the operation as historic — in line with the Berlin airlift — declared that they’re ‘over performing’ their own metrics, and trumpeted the president as ‘defying expectations,’” Politico added.
White House Denies That Any Americans Are Stranded in Afghanistan
Press secretary Jen Psaki denied that the Americans who were left scrambling to leave Afghanistan following the collapse of the government and the Taliban’s takeover are “stranded.”
“I think it’s irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not,” Psaki said.
“‘There are no Americans stranded’ is the White House’s official position on what’s happening in Afghanistan right now?” Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked.
“I’m just calling you out for saying that we are stranding Americans in Afghanistan when we have been very clear that we are not leaving Americans who want to return home,” Psaki replied. “We are going to bring them home and I think that’s important for the American public to hear and understand.”

While the Pentagon and State Department have yet to announce just how many Americans are hoping to get out of Afghanistan and back to the states, thousands are still believed to be clamoring for evacuation.

Biden Falsely Claims Governors Are Banning Masks in Schools
Biden falsely claimed that governors are banning the use of masks in schools.
“Unfortunately, as we have seen throughout this pandemic, some politicians are trying to turn public safety measures — children wearing masks in school — into political disputes for their own political gain. Some are even trying to take power away from local educators by banning masks in school. They are setting a dangerous tone,” he said.

While some Republican governors and legislatures have taken steps to ban mask mandates and face-covering requirements in government schools, no elected officials have enacted a ban on masks.
Biden Says US Has Afghanistan Crisis Under Control
Biden claimed the United States has the Afghanistan crisis under control.
When interviewer George Stephanopoulos asked Biden about “those hundreds of people packed into a C-17” and “Afghans falling,” Biden not only lied that it was “four days ago, five days ago” but also angrily claimed that the U.S. quickly took control of the Kabul airport.
“What did you think when you first saw those pictures?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“What I thought was, we have to gain control of this, we have to move this more quickly. We have to move in a way in which we can take control of that airport. And we did,” Biden said.
George Stephanopoulos: “But we’ve all seen the pictures. We’ve seen those hundreds of people packed into a C-17. We’ve seen Afghans falling —“

Biden Says There Are More Vaccinated People In The US Than the American Population
President Biden falsely claimed that 350 million Americans are vaccinated despite the fact that there are approximately 330 million people in the United States.
“We have roughly 350 million people vaccinated in the United States and billions around the world,” Biden confidently stated.
Moments later, he checked his notes before doubling down on the lie again.
“Well over — what’s the number again? I remind myself, 350 million Americans have already been vaccinated,” he repeated.

Biden Admin Mandates COVID Vaccines for Medical Employees Despite Pledging Not To
Biden’s Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough announced on Monday that he will mandate COVID-19 vaccines for health care employees working in Veteran Affairs. According to the press release, “each employee will have eight weeks to be fully vaccinated” before risking termination.
In March, the White House pledged to leave vaccine passports to the “private sector.”
“We expect … that a determination or development of a vaccine passport or whatever you want to call it will be driven by the private sector,” Psaki said. “Ours will more be focused on guidelines that can be used as a basis. There are a couple key principles that we are working from: one is that there will be no centralized, universal federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential; second, we want to encourage an open marketplace with a variety of private sector companies and nonprofit coalitions developing solutions; and third, we want to drive the market toward meeting public interest goals.”
Biden Claims You Can’t Get COVID if You’re Vaccinated
During a presidential town hall hosted by CNN’s Don Lemon on July 21, Biden claimed you cannot contract COVID-19 if you’ve been fully vaccinated against the respiratory virus.
“We don’t talk enough to you about this, I don’t think,” he said. “One last thing that’s really important is, we’re not in the position where we think that any virus, including the Delta virus, which is much more transmissible and more deadly in terms of unvaccinated people, the — the various shots that people are getting now cover that. You’re okay. You’re not going to — you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”
According to the president’s own Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), however, this statement is patently false.
“COVID-19 vaccines are effective,” the CDC website states. “However, a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it. These are called ‘vaccine breakthrough cases.’ This means that while people who have been vaccinated are much less likely to get sick, it will still happen in some cases. It’s also possible that some fully vaccinated people might have infections, but not have symptoms (asymptomatic infections). Experts continue to study how common these cases are.”
Recent events have also shown Biden’s claim to be false. After flying to Washington, D.C., to protest an election integrity bill, at least six Texas Democrats tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated. Moreover, staffers in the White House and Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office tested positive despite full vaccination status.
Biden Denies that Proliferation of Government Money Is Jacking up Prices
In the same presidential town hall, Biden rejected the idea that the proliferation of government spending bills encouraged by the White House is responsible for climbing prices in the United States.
“You’re pretty confident that inflation is temporary but you’re pumping all of this money into the economy. Couldn’t that add to—” Lemon started before the president interrupted him.
“Look, here’s the deal. Moody’s today — a Wall Street firm, not some liberal think tank — said, if I pass the other two things I’m trying to get done, we will in fact reduce inflation, reduce inflation, reduce inflation. Because you’re going to be providing good opportunities and jobs for people who in fact are going to be reinvesting that money back in all the things we’re talking about. Driving down prices not raising prices. … I sincerely mean prices are up now. … It relates to what in fact is now needed because we’re growing,” Biden replied.

Despite Biden’s claims, economists and legislators have expressed concern that the influx of federal dollars into the economy via stimulus and other spending programs are causing prices of gas, food, and other goods to skyrocket.
Biden Denies Looming ‘Unchecked Inflation,’ His Treasury Secretary Says the Opposite
Biden said the United States should not fear a near future of “unchecked inflation.”
“There’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation on the way. No serious economist,” Biden said.
Q: "At what point would you consider inflation unchecked…?"

Hours later, however, Biden’s Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen expressed worries on CNBC that “we will have several more months of rapid inflation,” a concern echoed by other economists.
Biden Delivers Lie-Riddled Speech Targeting GOP and Election Integrity
President Biden delivered a lie-riddled address targeting Republicans for blocking Democrats’ partisan election overhaul bill and working to substitute it with election integrity laws.
One of his first falsities was that the Texas GOP’s attempts to pass election reforms would install “partisan poll watchers” to “intimidate voters.”

Biden also repeated the lie that voter ID laws and other election security measures are “21st century Jim Crow.”

White House: Election Laws Are The ‘Worst Challenge To Our Democracy Since Civil War’
Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeated the lie that state elections laws are the “worst challenge to our democracy since the Civil War.”
After a reporter asked Psaki about the Biden administration’s response to the onslaught of election integrity laws, the press secretary listed off a series of bullet points that the president intends to do to fight back against “voter suppression.”
“He will highlight the work of the administration against this, the necessity of passing the ‘For The People Act’ and the ‘John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act’ and how we need to work together with civil rights organizations to build as broad a turnout and voter education system to overcome the worst challenge to our democracy since the Civil War,” she said. “This is an opportunity for him to make the case to the American people about how this is a fundamental right.”

Biden Claims He Was An All-Star Player At Congressional Baseball Game Where He Went 0-2
President Biden told a story on how he hit a ball 358 feet at his second congressional baseball game while hosting the LA Dodgers at the White House on July 2. The only problem: Biden, a freshman Senator from Delaware at the time in 1974, went 0-2 at the game.
“Biden was decked out in Phillies home pinstripes last night as he went 0-for-2 (groundout, strikeout) in the Democrats’ 7-3 loss to the Republicans in the national annual congressional baseball game at Memorial Stadium,” read local coverage of the event.

Biden Claims That Tuskegee Airman Were Experimented On by U.S. Government
While speaking at a North Carolina event on COVID-19 vaccination efforts, President Joe Biden falsely claimed that vaccine hesitancy among black Americans stemmed from past experimentation by the U.S. government on the Tuskegee Airman.
“The reason why it’s been harder to get African Americans, initially, to get vaccinated because they are used to being experimented on — the Tuskegee Airmen and others,” Biden said.
BIDEN: "It's awful hard as well to get Latinx vaccinated… Why? They're worried they'll be vaccinated and deported." pic.twitter.com/gt2mcuAGB2
— Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) June 24, 2021
The Tuskegee Airman were the first group of African-American fighter pilots that served in the Army Air Corps throughout World War II. The Airmen were not connected to the Tuskegee Syphilis Study, wherein over 600 black men were experimented on by the U.S. government to “observe the progression of a number of diseases, particularly syphilis, untreated in black males.” Biden also made the same false claim in May 2021 during an interview with YouTuber Jackie Aina.
Border Lead Kamala Harris Claims It Was ‘Always The Plan’ To Visit Border
During her trip to the border in El Paso, TX after delaying a visit for more than 90 days, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that it was “always the plan” to address the effects as well as the “root causes” of Biden’s border crisis.
“I said back in March that I was gonna come to the border so this is not a new plan,” Biden’s border lead told reporters.
REPORTER: "Why did you decide that right now was the right time to make your first trip to the border?"
KAMALA: "Well, it's not my first trip… I said back in March I was going to come to the border so this is not a new plan." pic.twitter.com/haqOam6Xvb
— Benny (@bennyjohnson) June 25, 2021
Despite her claims, Harris was not always set on visiting the border. Not only did her own spokesperson say in March that there were no plans for the VP to make a trip to the border in the “near future,” but Harris also laughed off or became defensive when reporters asked her any questions about whether she planned to address the influx of illegal aliens and less-than poor conditions in detention centers for migrant children.
Harris also repeated the lie that it’s not her “first trip” to the border during this administration. The last times the vice president visited the border was before she was elected in October when she campaigned in McAllen, TX and in 2018 when, as a Senator, Harris protested the Trump administration’s immigration policies in San Diego.
Biden Says High Gun Violence In Cities With Tough Gun Laws Is False
During his remarks on the rise in violent crime, Biden claimed that areas of the US with the strictest gun laws don’t have the highest violent crime rates.
“The gun lobby wants you to believe that cities that have the toughest gun laws still have the highest rates of gun violence … don’t believe it,” the president claimed without evidence.

Data, however, shows that even those states that leftist gun control groups have ranked as stricter on firearms experience high levels of the firearm death rate. Even though states such as California, New York, Illinois, and Maryland pride themselves on having more restrictions on firearms than most places in the country, they still experience high levels of gun violence and deaths.
