Federalist Co-founder Sean Davis joined Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Thursday to discuss The Federalist’s latest reporting on the Russia collusion hoax, revealing that FBI agents were so concerned that their investigation into the Trump campaign was illegal that they purchased liability insurance.
According to text messages uncovered in the Michael Flynn case, the former Trump White House national security advisor, who was ousted by a perjury trap orchestrated by fired FBI Director James Comey, agents worried the incoming attorney general might get a closer look at their Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
“We learned a lot today,” Davis noted. “The first is that the corruption at the FBI and how they conducted their anti-Trump jihad was so bad that FBI agents were purchasing for themselves — using your money and my money by the way, as taxpayers — purchasing liability insurance for when people finally found out how corrupt their activities were.”
Davis pointed out that the original investigation into Flynn was closed on election day in 2016 and reopened only after Trump’s triumphant victory. It used national security letters to collect Flynn’s financial records.
“We’re told it was only the leadership who is doing kind of bad things. The rank and file are good,” Davis said. “These are rank and file talking about this, and where are the whistleblowers and why are we learning about this three years after Chris Wray took over the FBI? Why are we learning about this from a court case? Why was this not disclosed to Congress? … It’s a complete disgrace.”
