On this edition of The Federalist Radio Hour, author Ethan Strauss joins Ben Domenech to discuss the politicization of sports. Strauss’ newest book “The Victory Machine” can be found on Amazon and his work can be found in The Athletic.

Strauss discusses the impact of coronavirus on sports and sports journalism, as well as why it’s important for the National Basketball Association to promote the game of basketball itself to increase its popularity rather than focus on drama between players and tweets.

“You need to make whatever you’re doing principally about elevating the games themselves,” Strauss said. “That’s what you’re selling. That’s what’s important.”
