Saagar Enjetti joins Mollie Hemingway to discuss the mainstream media, the state of the economy, and political ramifications amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Enjetti argues mainstream media outlets attempted to cover for China which had health and political ramifications for the American people.

“I think the media conversation on [coronavirus] is actually key because I’ve followed this and been very worried about this from the very beginning,” Enjetti said. “[Public health experts] were telling me the mortality rate on this thing is 20 percent. This is like the New York Times, Buzzfeed, and others making sure that public policy didn’t discriminate against Chinese ability to enter the United States.”

Enjetti says he is thankful President Trump blocked travel from China to help degrade the epidemic.

“The President did the absolute right thing which was cut off travel from China six weeks ago,” Enjetti said.
