During a CNN town hall in New Hampshire, former Vice President Joe Biden trashed Rush Limbaugh for receiving the Presidential Medal of Honor. The honor was bestowed upon Limbaugh during President Trump’s Tuesday State of the Union address after news broke that Limbaugh is battling lung cancer.

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper set Biden up to trash Limbaugh.

“Yesterday, I want to ask you about something that happened at the State of the Union. You were awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest civilian honor, by President Obama. And I was wondering — it was obviously a very emotional moment for you — I remember the ceremony. Last night, President Trump awarded the same medal to Rush Limbaugh. I’m wondering what you thought when you learned about that,” Cooper said.

Biden shook his head as the audience laughed. He proceeded to call Limbaugh racist, without citing a single example proving this inflammatory charge.

“Rush Limbaugh will spend his entire time on the air dividing people, belittling people, talking about blacks in ways, African-Americans in ways that. Anyways,” Biden said.

He continued with a final stab at Limbaugh, saying, “He doesn’t understand the American code of decency and honor.”

Biden proceeded to say he is sympathetic to Limbaugh despite his ideological opposition.
