Bill Wirtz is a policy analyst and political correspondent based in Brussels, Belgium. Wirtz joined Ben Domenech on The Federalist Radio Hour to discuss European politics and populism including the controversial Marion Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron.
“Is it willful ignorance, that [CPAC] did their research and still invited [Le Pen]? Or did they just not do their research?” Wirtz said. “I think the only information [CPAC] got about her positions was what she told them herself. When you listen to the speech, she uses all the buzzwords that she needs to use.”
