On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, Ben Domenech and Richard Brookhiser discuss the founding fathers, the life of Judge John Marshall, identity politics, and tolerance. Brookhiser is a biographer, historian, journalist, and senior editor at National Review. His new book is, “John Marshall: The Man Who Made the Supreme Court.”

“We think of the Founding Father who puts our economic system in place as being Hamilton, especially after the musical,” he said. “But that also needed a legal armature and a lot of that comes from the Marshall Court decisions having to do with contracts and commerce.”
