Celebrities, many of whom supported Hillary Clinton, are freaking out over Donald Trump’s presidential win. Some are crying, some have admitted they’re out of touch with the American electorate, while others are calling for action.
Here are seven of the most amazing meltdowns so far.
1. Jennifer Lawrence
The “Hunger Games” actress penned an open letter telling disappointed Hillary voters to “get loud.”
Is this the stark reality? It doesn’t matter how hard you work or how qualified you are, at the end of the day, you’re not a man? Is that what we just learned? This country was founded on immigration and today the only people that feel safe, that their rights are recognized and respected are white men. . .
We’re all allowed to be sad that the present isn’t what we thought it was. But we mustn’t be defeated. We will keep educating ourselves and working twice as hard as the man next to us because we know now that it is not fair. It is not fair in the workplace, so you make it impossible to fail. And like Hillary, it might not work.
But like Hillary, you can still be an inspiration and get important things done. Do not let this defeat you—let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman—don’t be afraid, be loud!
2. Miley Cyrus
The actress and singer tweeted a video of herself sobbing after Trump’s victory was announced.
“Given the result (of a Trump electoral victory) maybe I really am different and maybe a lot of people I’m surrounded by think with open minds and open hearts like I do,” she said. “Please just treat people with love, and treat people with compassion, and treat people with respect and I will do the same for you. Anything you want to talk about or understand. ”

She concluded her tearful appeal to President-elect Donald Trump with a key to her heart and mind.
“Please if you want to open your mind and you want to open your heart, I would love to give you a key,” she said.
3.Chelsea Handler
The day after the election, Chelsea Handler invited Sen. Barbara Boxer on her show to cry about Hillary Clinton’s loss.
“As a woman, it feels so sexist,” she said between chocking back tears. “I wanna move to Spain. I really, really, really want to move to Spain right now. But everyone in my office is like ‘you have a responsibility and you have a voice and you need to use it.'”
4. Katy Perry
On Election Day, the “Roar” singer, who had been performing at campaign events for Clinton, tweeted out her despair.

She later tweeted about a “revolution,” and changed her Twitter photo to a black square. She has reportedly cancelled a concert in China due to a “family emergency.”

5.Chrissy Teigen
Trump antagonizer and supermodel Chrissy Teigen lashed out at People Magazine for publishing an article entitled “22 Photos of Ivanka and Her Family That Are Way Too Cute.”

6. Emma Watson
The day after Election Day, the “Harry Potter” actress hid copies of Maya Angelou’s “Mom & Me & Mom” on the New York City subway. Because apparently books might disappear in Trump’s America.

7. Amy Schumer
The “Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo” author called Trump voters a bunch of “screaming kicking babies” in a lengthy Instagram post the day after the Republican nominee won the presidency.
We all wanted to do it to take care of the people in need. She was fighting to take care of you kicking and screaming babies. Yelling about emails you know nothing about and not liking her clothes or her hair she wanted to protect you even you. Well you’ve gotten what you asked for and now you can watch the sky open up. Literally. I am furious. I cry for her and for all the smart people I love who know what’s right and I cry for you people who fell for shiny hats and reality catch phrases. She would have protected you. Today we grieve tomorrow we begin again. Yes this quote is fake but it doesn’t matter
All throughout the election cycle, we were told that the celebrity endorsement had essentially become the highest form of an endorsement. And Hillary Clinton, who was joined onstage by many celebs including Beyoncé and Jay-Z, was supposed to have America behind her. By contrast, Donald Trump, who didn’t bring many of his famous friends to his Republican nomination, was derided as an out-of-touch weirdo for not having a star-studded convention stage. As it turns out, celebrity endorsements don’t translate to an electoral victory.
