Miss Universe host Steve Harvey totally botched Miss Universe 2015 after he mistakenly announced the wrong contestant as the winner.
At first, everything seemed to be going fine. Harvey announced Miss Colombia as the winner and she was all smiles, waving to the crowd as she was crowned.

But then—MAJOR PLOT TWIST—Harvey re-emerged onstage and began to awkwardly apologize while explaining that he had misread the ballot card. As it turns out, Miss Colombia was not the Miss Universe 2015, but instead was the first runner-up, and Miss Philippines was the actual winner.
You can watch the whole painful thing here, in which they de-crown Miss Colombia and give it to Miss Philippines.

“I will take responsibility for this,” Harvey said. “It was my mistake.”
The scene in the Las Vegas venue was pandemonium, according to panelist Niecy Nash.

Harvey reportedly tweeted a typo-laden apology, then deleted it moments later.

Here are some more of Harvey’s apologetic tweets.

Some likened Harvey to Kanye West when he upstaged Taylor Swift at the 2009 Video Music Awards.

Or suggested that both Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines could share the crown.
They could always snap the crown in half like in Mean Girls, haha. #MissUniverse2015 pic.twitter.com/jJTVi0Vptt

Perhaps they will bring back Donald Trump, who co-owned the Miss Universe Organization until he was pressured into selling out earlier this year.
“@Themyamccurry: Where’s @realDonaldTrump when you need em? #MissUniverse2015”

“@drdoucette: #MissUniverse DonaldTrump must be overjoyed that as soon as he sells the pageant it goes off the rails. We need you Mr Trump

Yikes.
There’s always 2016!
