A new study confirms what many already suspected: Donald Trump’s Facebook fans are the worst. When it comes to proper spelling and grammar usage, his fan base ranks dead last when compared to supporters of other presidential candidates.
A study by Grammarly, an automated proofreading company, analyzed comments from each of the Republican presidential candidates’ Facebook fans to determine whose supporters were the worst offenders of the English language.
Carly Fiorina’s fans, who only made 6.3 mistakes per 100 words, were the most eloquent writers according to Grammarly. Trump fans made twice as many mistakes, with 12.6 mistakes per 100 words.
The study examined comments from fans on the official Facebook pages of each candidate from April through June. To separate the supporters from the haters, Grammarly only looked at positive comments from fans.
