Cleveland: Dearborn, Michigan Can’t Establish Islam As The City Religion

The Federalist’s Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland explains what led her to file a lawsuit against the city of Dearborn, Michigan, for discriminating against Christians and Jews while prioritizing Islam.

“I reached out and said to the city, ‘You know, I’m actually glad that you’re not looking at the Establishment Clause under this worked idea that you can’t celebrate religious views of citizens, as long as you treat everybody equally, so I want to see … Passover [and] Easter signs’ … [I] was ignored,” Cleveland said in an interview with Glenn Beck. “The city has made clear there is a favored religion, and it is Islam.”
