In the wake of the latest attempt by garbage leftist idiots to murder President Donald Trump, prominent leftists are deflecting, descending into nearly psychotic redirection, or trying to shift the blame to Trump himself, even after promising to wage war on the president and joking about watching his wife become a widow. Impotent, mindless, and based in fantasy, leftist culture is a violent and childish culture, sowing ruin but pretending innocence. The Law of Merited Impossibility is undefeated as a concept: We absolutely didn’t try to kill you, and you deserve our efforts to kill you. The old Babylon Bee joke headline still lands: “Trump Indicted For Inciting Assassination Attempt.”
But we already knew that, and the response to the Dobbs leak was a warning.
If you don’t remember the details of that leak, a draft of the Supreme Court majority opinion overturning Roe v. Wade and ending the fake constitutional right to unlimited abortion on demand was leaked in 2022 by a still-unknown court insider. Since the decision wouldn’t be official until it was formally released, the leak of the draft decision created an incentive to kill a conservative Supreme Court justice, preventing the release of a mooted opinion endorsed by a dead jurist.
In a new biography of Justice Samuel Alito, the author of the majority opinion in the Dobbs case, Mollie Hemingway describes the battle inside the court that followed the leak.
“After the leak, police officers worked fifteen- and sixteen-hour shifts in response to security threats at the Supreme Court Building, and the gymnasium on the top floor was converted into a dormitory with cots for them,” writes Hemingway, the editor-in-chief of The Federalist. “Eight-foot fencing was installed around the building to protect it from protesters.”
Faced with the possibility that the question of unlimited abortion on demand would be returned to democratic debate in a republic of laws, low-impulse-control toddler leftists lashed out in a violent and prolonged tantrum. Conservative justices “were moved to secure locations and given increased security. Even their adult children and extended family members had to be moved for their protection,” Hemingway writes.
Pro-abortion groups published the home addresses of conservative justices, and mobs descended on cue. “Night after night, protesters arrived directly in front of or near the family homes of Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett.”
After many nights of this Jacobin street theater, an aspiring assassin arrived: Like the latest alleged would-be Trump murderer, 26-year-old Nicholas Roske traveled from California with a gun, a knife, and a plan to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his home. He was stopped and arrested by Kavanaugh’s security detail.
Reacting to the threats, Hemingway writes, Republicans begged Attorney General Merrick Garland to take action to protect the justices. Garland waffled but didn’t act to restrain the mobs gathering at the homes of Supreme Court justices. “A whistleblower in the Department of Justice later revealed to Senator Katie Britt, a Republican from Alabama, that US Marshals had been discouraged from making arrests or initiating prosecutions.”
Conservative justices also asked their leftist colleagues to stop delaying their dissenting opinions on Dobbs so the decision could be formally released, ending the incentive to murder a conservative justice. The leftists refused, knowingly and deliberately endangering their conservative colleagues.
Leftists are permanent children, embodied appetites living inside dysfunctional minds. When you don’t give them their way without debate or ordinary procedural and cultural obstacles, some of them will try to kill you. We know this, so we might as well acknowledge the considerable evidence. It’s going to keep happening.
