If GOP Contenders Can’t Condemn Get-Trump Lawfare During The Debate, Their 2024 Chances Are Dead

Statements are powerless in the face of a power-hungry regime. Americans need to know GOP candidates’ plans to take down the corrupt DOJ.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Sen. Tim Scott, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are all expected to take to the debate stage on Wednesday to kick off the 2024 Republican primary fight.

Former President Donald Trump plans to skip the debate and instead opt for an interview with Tucker Carlson. Some of Trump’s GOP challengers have already shunned and criticized his absence. The brunt of candidates’ onstage criticism, however, should be directed at the deep state for brazenly rigging yet another presidential election against the will of the American people.

Some candidates, such as Pence and Christie, have already ceded too much ground to the left by spinelessly refusing to defend Trump against the establishment’s partisan plotting. Other candidates, such as DeSantis and Ramaswamy, have accurately diagnosed the Demcorats’ scheming as a partisan problem with long-lasting ramifications.

Defensive statements, especially “backhanded” ones like DeSantis has repeatedly delivered, however, are powerless in the face of a power-hungry regime.

There’s no denying that the Department of Justice and the FBI are corrupt weapons of the Biden administration. The bureaucracy isn’t just tasked with doing everything in its power and more to punish Trump. The deep state is also dead set on declaring war on American voters.

A large majority of Americans, not just the people who consistently cast their votes for GOP candidates, recognize that the U.S. is governed by a two-tiered system of justice. Another 56 percent say they understand the Trump indictments are “interference by the Department of Justice in the 2024 election” instead of a “fair application of the law.”

Courting voters who see plainly what’s happening aren’t the only reason Republican presidential prospects should speak up with a plan about how to handle the rot in the federal bureaucracy. If GOP candidates adopt the same do-nothing attitude that mars already elected Republicans in Congress, they sacrifice Americans’ last line of defense against the left’s irreversible destruction of the country.

Republican inaction on the weaponization of the federal government is why the Biden administration can name scandal-plagued Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss as special counsel over the ongoing Biden investigation. It’s also why partisan actors all over the country have successfully racked up dozens of charges against the former leader of the free world.

If Republican candidates won’t commit to a plan that will eradicate the lawless institutions wreaking havoc on Americans’ constitutional rights, they will never get elected. Not just because they won’t win votes, but also because Democrats are working overtime to change elections so it is easier to secure power permanently.

President Joe Biden and his corrupt cronies at the DOJ deserve more than a public thrashing for their blatant power grab. They deserve impeachment. Every federal official and agency that participated in the shakedown of Trump’s 2016 campaign, the massive election-rigging scheme in 2020, and, now, the manipulation of the 2024 election via endless Trump indictments needs to be defunded.

Stripping the DOJ and FBI of their head honchos, as some GOP candidates suggest, simply isn’t good enough. Suing the DOJ for refusing to hand over documents that could confirm allegations of collusion between White House officials about Trump’s charges, as Ramaswamy did, is a good start, but it’s also not enough.

What Americans need to hear on Wednesday is a clear-cut plan on how to completely annihilate decades of deceit and dishonesty from the institutions in charge of “protecting life and liberty.” They need to hear Republicans call the Trump indictments a blight on the face of the greatest nation in the world.

Republicans on that stage want Americans to believe they truly care about the future of the nation. The only successful way they can communicate that is by committing to stop the left’s radical assault by whatever means necessary.
