Dr. Anthony Fauci is an unhinged, unelected bureaucrat who deserves to be fired for his lies, malfeasance, and inability to address the COVID-19 crisis properly.

Over the last two years, Fauci has lied to the American public about where the virus came from, who it affects the most, and how to mitigate it. As questions about his competence increased, however, Fauci grew testier and even more crotchety. His hostility towards transparency was concerning for many but that didn’t stop him from continuing his tyrannical tirades on TV and in congressional hearings.

In the most recent Senate Health Committee hearing on Tuesday, Fauci lashed out at legislators who dared question his role in the ongoing pandemic and even appeared to call Republican Sen. Roger Marshall a “moron” on a hot mic. Democrats and some Republican senators in the hearing tripped over each other to express gratitude to Fauci but their words did not overshadow what Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky referred to as Fauci’s “arrogance” in refusing to answer questions and dealing with the pandemic as a whole.

“The anger that’s developed with you, Dr. Fauci, is that you don’t want to give us advice. You want to tell us what to do. You think you are the science and that anybody responds to you,” Paul said on Tuesday. “That kind of arrogance, that hubris is really, that’s where the anger is coming towards you. If you’re one doctor among hundreds of doctors in the government who gave advice, I don’t think anybody, people might object to your advice. There wouldn’t be such a degree of anger but you are so certain that you’re right, that you’re not willing to hear anyone else.”

Paul also noted that Fauci used his position and salary to shut down dialogue and conversations about COVID-19 that ran contrary to his interpretation of the pandemic, but Fauci ignored the Republican’s argument and instead accused him of inciting violence. In the middle of a hearing about the lack of testing in the U.S., Fauci whined about death threats he’s received and said the Republican’s efforts to fundraise using the “fire Fauci” campaign were inappropriate.

Fauci, the guy who Paul noted compared criticisms of himself to “really criticizing science because I represent science,” isn’t qualified to address the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a matter of fact, he never was.

As early as February 2020, Fauci knew the virus that has now killed more than 800,000 people in the U.S. might have been intentionally genetically modified and created in the Wuhan lab. But he hid that information from the public and possibly the Trump White House. When Big Tech censored conservative legislators such as Paul and others who tried to pressure bureaucrats to answer questions about gain-of-function research, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the origins of COVID, he remained silent.

Instead of relying on epidemiologists and experts for data and recommendations on how to address COVID-19, Fauci colluded with other unelected bureaucrats to nuke the herd immunity strategies promoted by the experts who signed the Great Barrington Declaration (GBD) urging health officials to reconsider dangerous COVID-19 lockdown policies. He lied about masking, flip-flopped on the importance of in-person schooling, and pushed vaccination as a solution to COVID-19 despite its waning effects.

When Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville asked on Tuesday if there was data available on how many people died after getting a dose of the COVID-19 shot, Fauci lamented the fact that anyone who dies after getting the jab could be counted as a vaccine-related death.

“I think part of the confusion is that when you do a reporting, if you get vaccinated and you walk out and get hit by a car, that is considered a death,” Fauci said.

This distinction didn’t seem to matter over the last two years with COVID cases, but Fauci doesn’t care. It wasn’t even until recently that Fauci and his cronies at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finally acknowledged that these screwy COVID case numbers might not be the best data to use to try and justify bad virus policy moving forward.

Fauci’s unruly, power-hungry behavior has done the American people no favors. Nor has it stopped the spread of COVID-19. For his inadequacy to do what he was supposed to do as director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, Fauci deserves to be fired.

Republican Sen. Mike Braun pointed out on Tuesday that a board of directors and a CEO “would be fired” for failing to contain the virus they claimed they could fight off with masks, mandates, and shots, but none of the health bureaucrats bossing around the American public have had to face consequences.

Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee also joined the group of Americans calling for the government to “fire Fauci.”

Calls to fire Fauci are not wrong. Despite Fauci’s insistence, they are also not threats of violence.

Fauci is an unelected bureaucrat who used his favorable position with the corporate media to lie to the American public about COVID-19. He’s repeatedly changed the narrative on the virus but has faced no consequences for his falsehoods.

We’re not “all in this together.” We never were. While Fauci preached to Americans on Sunday corporate media shows, he was communicating with other health bureaucrats behind the scenes to obscure key information about the origins of COVID-19 and shut down contradicting dialogue. Fauci used this virus for his personal and political gain. He deserves to be fired for using COVID to get more attention, more control, more power, and more money (as the highest-paid employee in the federal government).
