Republican Sen. Ted Cruz slammed President Joe Biden and his administration for repeated lack of action to control what he calls Biden’s “manmade” border crisis.

Cruz recently took a trip to the International Bridge in Del Rio on the Texas-Mexico border where more than 10,000 illegal aliens are waiting to be processed by border patrol. The reason for this influx by mostly Haitian migrants, Cruz said, was the Biden administration’s “political decision” to halt deportations to Haiti via plane last week.

“Today, it’s September 16, eight days later, and 700 people has grown to 10,500 because the word has gone out if you’re from Haiti, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have said, ‘We have open borders, come to Del Rio, and they will let you in,'” Cruz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “It’s a political decision that Joe Biden could end tonight by simply following the law and saying we’re going to send people back to Haiti, which is what federal immigration law requires.”

In August alone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection encountered 208,887 people along the Southwest border. Now, in September, the up to thousands of people crossing the border daily have continued.

It is the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen. There are right now, as we’re speaking, there are 10,503 people under that bridge. It is packed in as a mass of humanity,” Cruz said. “They take your breath away because it just goes on and on and on – infants, little children, people struggling enormously, and something stunning that I discovered today is I discovered the cause of why this is happening.”

Shortly after drone video footage released this week showing the thousands of migrants camped out in close quarters under the bridge, the Federal Aviation Administration banned news drones in the area because they were reportedly “interfering with law enforcement flights on the border.”

“The Border Patrol requested the temporary flight restriction due to drones interfering with law enforcement flights on the border. As with any temporary flight restriction, media is able to call the FAA to make requests to operate in the area,” FAA said in a statement.

This excuse to scare off news crews, Cruz believes, is deliberate.

“The drone footage started this morning, and people across the country were horrified. And I guess the political operatives at the Biden White House saw that and decided the last thing they want is Fox News actually reporting on what’s happening down here,” Cruz said.

Other Texas politicians expressed their outrage at the swelling border crisis and the Biden administration’s silence.

“I thought the worst-case scenario was having a couple of people, maybe 150 people roaming the streets,” Del Rio Mayor Bruno Lozano, a Democrat, told the Washington Post. “This is probably a worse case of worst-case scenarios.”

Rep. Chip Roy also called out the administration for failing to address the border crisis.

“Now, Democrats are allowing this mess to occur in Del Rio where we’ve got ten thousand Haitians with many more on the way … all while we’ve got thousands in McAllen, all while fentanyl is pouring across our border, and killing Americans, ninety-something thousand — a hundred thousand — dying from opioid poisoning, not overdoses, Tucker, poisoning.  This is happening right now and this president does not care,” Roy told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.
