Senator Josh Hawley is calling for regulation to keep big social media and tech companies from censoring conservative content. Hawley joins Ben Domenech on this episode of the Federalist Radio Hour to discuss his proposed legislation, free speech, Section 230, neoconservatives and whether private tech companies should be free to censor anyone they want.
“My view is that if Google, Facebook, and Twitter and the dominant platforms want to have a Left agenda and they want to be progressive companies, that’s fine. They are entitled to do so, but they should not get the special immunities the government has given them that no other media or publisher platform gets,” Hawley said.
