Veronique de Rugy is a Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She joins Ben Domenech to discuss the aftermath of the GOP tax bill, the new corporate tax rate, federal spending, and some French politics.
“I want people to pay as little taxes as possible, but that is if we shrink the size of the government,” de Rugy said. “When you give tax credits to people and as a result they pay no taxes…it’s not super pro-growth.”
Later in the hour, Domenech and de Rugy discuss movies they saw over the holidays, plus what it’s like to raise children in France.
