In the aftermath of deadly hurricane Harvey, which ravaged parts of Texas and Louisiana last month and killed at least 77 people, abortionists are scheming to raise the death count even higher.

Whole Woman’s Health, a nationwide chain of abortion clinics, has scheduled abortions for 15 Harvey babies so far, which would raise the death count to at least 85. In partnership with The Lilith Fund, the abortion provider says it’s “helping” women whose lives were turned upside down by Harvey’s destructive floodwaters, by aborting their children for free.

Amy Hagstrom Miller, founder and CEO of Whole Woman’s Health, told The Texas Tribune they’re doing this because many women probably missed their previously scheduled abortion appointments during the storm. She also added that the deadly floodwaters changed the situation for many expecting mothers.

Miller isn’t wrong. Women primarily seek abortions due to economic reasons, which is why abortion isn’t empowering. Killing a woman’s child doesn’t change the fact that she lost everything in the storm, nor does it help her get out of her dire financial circumstance. It merely ends the life of her pre-born baby. If you or someone you know is faced with an unplanned pregnancy and looking for help, here’s a few resources to start with.
