David Azerrad joins Ben Domenech on the Federalist Radio Hour to discuss where he sees the future of identity politics going, and his argument for reestablishing our national identity. They also discuss the echo chamber of wokeness in Hollywood and political trends that will likely hurt the Democratic party.

“The way you lose your job in America…is if you do a misstep in speaking about protected identity groups. That is the one piety. That is what we enforce today in America,” he said. “The fear of the identitiarian left lives within all of us.”

Azerrad studies conservatism, progressivism, and identity politics at the Heritage Foundation, where he is director of the B. Kenneth Simon Center for Principles and Politics.
