Sohrab Ahmari, formerly of Commentary and now the op-ed editor at the New York Post, joins Ben Domenech on the Federalist Radio Hour for a conversation on faith, populism, and the shrinking existence of religion in media and politics. They also discuss the Left’s favorite phrase, “the right side of history,” and how the Right could offer solutions for progressive voters.

“The Democratic West that we’ve inherited is like this flower that is wilting because the roots that sustain it are these primarily religious ideas,” he said. “Our elites struggle to understand why people are attracted to identity politics. Why they are increasingly retreating into not just nationalism but a pinched exclusionary kind of nationalism.”

His new book, “From Fire, By Water: My Journey to the Catholic Faith,” is available for pre-order.
