Daniel Hannan is a British writer, journalist and politician who was a member of the European Parliament for 17 years. He joined Ben Domenech on The Federalist Radio Hour for a conversation on his career, politics, history, public discourse, and conservatism.
Hannan explains what European politics can tell us about the changes in American politics. “I think the conservative movement here [in America] is still potentially in a very strong place,” he said. “Things are difficult when you have someone who has come late and indifferently to the Republican party and who know is effectively the party leader and chief spokesman. That is bound to create tensions.”
