Here’s Which Democratic Representatives Support Impeaching President Trump

Earlier this month, Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) announced he’s joining Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) in drafting articles of impeachment for President Trump, even though he was skeptical they would pass.

“I have no illusions,” Sherman said in a public statement. “Articles of impeachment will not pass the House in the near future.”

On May 17, four months into Trump’s presidency, Green became the first member of the House of Representatives to publicly stand for impeaching Trump. Articles of impeachment must be passed with a majority in the House of Representatives, and it’s unlikely more than a few Republican representatives would vote in favor of impeachment. This means the matter hangs on how many Democratic representatives would support impeaching the president.

With 435 House members, a bare majority is 218. Currently, 241 representatives are Republicans. Which Democratic representatives actually support impeaching President Trump so far? Here’s this month’s list, arranged alphabetically according to state.
