He had kept the values that he was raised with. He cared about the America that he grew up in. He cared that the liberal elite were destroying cities and making them unsafe. And he was just unchanging.”
Alito “is very principled … but he is also very pragmatic. He thinks about how to secure victories. This is the lesson for conservatives and for Americans in general. There is no conflict between being principled and achieving success.”
