As France burns, a Washington, D.C.-based government watchdog is sending out an Election Day warning about the designs of the Red-Green Alliance.
The unlikely and unholy marriage between Marxists and Islamists is now devouring France under the guise of student discontent. Make no mistake. The young, as they often are, serve as the useful idiots of a revolution fueled by leftist money and global intifada manpower.
The bedlam is the natural outcrop of mass migration into “progressive” European countries now bearing the weight of radical Islam and an army of socialist revolutionaries preaching “From the River to the Sea …”
Thanks to the decades of open-door immigration policies that exploded during the autopen presidency of Joe Biden, the torches are being trained on the United States, too.
‘They Hate America’
“The Red-Green Alliance is the most dangerous partnership in American politics, and the radical left is proud to be part of it,” Mike Davis, founder of The Article III Project, said in a press release late last week. “Communists want your country. Islamists want your faith. They hate America, and they’ve figured out they’re stronger when they march together.”
Davis, who previously clerked for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and served as an aide to Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, announced the leftist lawfare-fighting Article III Project will release a daily ad through next month’s midterm election spelling out the dangers of the red (communist) and green (Islamist) partnership.
Perhaps one of the more obtuse headlines that greeted the readers On Sunday came from The New York Times: “France in Shock After Protests Turn Into Riots, Damaging Buildings and Shops.” CNN posted a close second over the weekend when it reported that French President Emmanuel Macron pledged to hold accountable those who “sought to bring down the Republic” during major protests.
“… Macron addressed the nation on Sunday evening as communities reeled from one of the most violent nights of unrest in recent years after largely peaceful anti-government protests descended into rioting, leaving government buildings torched, one police officer and one protester dead,” CNN reported.
So said the same corporate news network that brought you the “Fiery but Mostly Peaceful Protests” moniker that described a riot that burned down portions of a Wisconsin city in 2020.
This isn’t unrest. It’s a Marxist-driven revolution, aided and abetted by jihadists. Not much of it is peaceful. Not surprisingly, more violence and mayhem followed. All by design.
In one viral clip, a woman stands outside a Paris grocery store screaming at masked rioters as they root through what’s left of the retailer.
“Stop! Why are you doing this?” the woman pleads with the masked young thugs. “This isn’t the cause!” They push her aside. The video shows the looters hauling out bags of goods. One orders, “Get some wine! All of it.” Another gleefully declares, “It’s snacking time!”
The protests were supposed to be about economic inequality, funding for rat-infested schools, the rising cost of living. Like the Marxist-driven Black Lives Matter movement at the dawn of the decade, this “social justice” campaign has quickly devolved into chaos. That was the plan.
‘Islamist Entryism’
The destruction is taking place in leftist welfare state nations, each drowning in debt because of their cradle-to-grave, big-government policies.
In France, Macron has proved a “centrist” fool, an insipid appeaser of revolutionaries and terrorists. And the equally insipid press continues to categorize the invasion “unrest” — like the Obama administration labeled a 2009 deadly terrorist attack on Fort Hood in Texas “workplace violence.”
“Looking at these images, we have all asked ourselves: What was going through their minds? How can French people do this to France?” the overmatched president lamented as he watched his leadership failures play out before him.
France has long been a center of Marxist turmoil, and it’s paying a steep price for laying out the welcome mat for the largest Muslim population in Western Europe. Facing a quickening spread of radical Islam, an overwhelming majority of the European Parliament has supported a resolution condemning the Muslim Brotherhood and its actions.
Islamist entryism, according to a press release, targets “democratic institutions, the rule of law, equality between women and men and fundamental freedoms.”
The Article III Project’s ad posted to its social media accounts over the weekend warns of the intersection of the radical left and radical Islam at home — manifested in the candidacy of Islamist socialists such as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed. In a tight race for Senate in Michigan, El-Sayed has been prickly about his family’s apparent ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. At a recent debate, the leftist left moderators speechless after he refused to acknowledge that Iran is a bigger threat to the U.S. than Israel.
‘That’s Our Right to Believe in the Sharia’
There is no mistaking the intention of radical Islam in America.
As The Federalist’s Joshua Monnington recently reported, Shaykh Uthman ibn Farooq laid out his vision for an Islamic America.
“We love this country,” Farooq said during a recent live-streamed event at the Sufaraa Center in McKinney, Texas, “We want good for this country. And that’s why we want Islam for this country, ’cause we think that’s the best thing. And we’re not going to be ashamed of that.”
And the oppressive and unconstitutional Sharia law comes with Farooq’s vision.
“We’re Muslims. That’s our identity, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The Constitution of this country protects that. That’s our right to believe in the Sharia. Yes, I said it. That’s our right,” he said.
As Churchill wrote, ‘Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
“History shows how this ends, and it never ends well for the people who looked the other way,” Davis said. “This November, every American has to decide whether to stand with the alliance or stand with America. We’re going to make sure voters see exactly what’s at stake.”
