Start with the fact that if you have to use a phrase like “more culturally normal” in politics, you’re already weird as hell. That’s California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Newsom said in an interview this week on CNN that it’s a substantial liability for his party that most voters don’t share its enthusiasm for transgendering children and fixation on race. You don’t say.
“There’s no doubt that the Democratic Party needs to be, dare I say, more culturally normal,” he said, speaking in his typical vocal fry. “I believe that; less prone to spending disproportionate amount of time on pronouns, identity politics. More focused on tabletop issues. Things that really matter.”
That’s a pleasant thought, but there’s a saying in politics that if you’re explaining, you’re losing. In this case, if you’re pleading for your party to be “more culturally normal,” you and your party are grotesquely alien.
Democrats are fond of doing this thing now where they suggest it’s possible to be more appealing to the average voter if they just talk less about their obsessions. If only they could present as “more culturally normal” on transgenderism, anti-white racism, and affirmative action for obscenely unqualified women, they could convince the public that their policies are the right way to go.
Someone should ask Newsom to what degree it’s okay to champion the manipulation of a child’s natural biology; to skirt merit in favor of “equity”; and to ignore rampant drug use and crime because white Democrats insist that’s the best way to help black people. If his party is going to be “more culturally normal,” how much more? What’s the acceptable amount of repulsive?
Democrat leaders like Newsom have either not thought this through, or they’re simply buying time to figure out how to win their next election by not completely shutting down their perverted, anti-American base of voters who want anything but “more culturally normal.”
What they’re essentially saying is they want less crime, less transing of children, and less illegal aliens. But not none of those things! Just a “more culturally normal” level of those things. Do you want your child just a little trans? Do you want to be just a little murdered? Do you want a little less welfare for foreigners who break into your country?
They can’t be “more culturally normal.” They’re either normal or they’re not. We know they’re not.
