Trump’s Success Proves Democrats And Weak Republicans Were Holding Border Security Hostage

We were reliably informed that in order to secure our border we had to grant amnesty to criminals and allow millions of illegal aliens to enter the country in a year.

“American border problems won’t be fixed until Congress acts,” then-President Joe Biden declared during his 2023 State of the Union Address, urging Congress to pass his “comprehensive immigration reform” plan.

The “comprehensive immigration reform” plan that Biden pitched would have granted amnesty to an estimated 11 million illegal aliens who broke the law and treated America as nothing more than an economic opportunity zone to be exploited.

Biden’s approach to fixing the immigration crisis also included a plan that would have allowed 30,000 people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the country per month and would allow them to work legally for up to two years while expelling up to 30,000 aliens from the same countries if they tried to enter the U.S. illegally.

Biden said the action wouldn’t “fix our entire immigration system” but that it would “help us a good deal in better managing what is a difficult challenge.”

Fast forward one year later, Biden and his Democratic Party along with a handful of useful idiots from the Republican Party informed the country that the only way to stop the mass flow of illegal immigration was to sign onto a Trojan horse bill that was trotted out as “bipartisan” as if to make it more palatable.

Backed by so-called Republican senators like Oklahoma’s James Lankford, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski, Utah’s Mitt Romney and Maine’s Susan Collins, the bill would have allowed approximately 2 million illegal aliens into the U.S. over a year. The legislation would also have given Biden the power to suspend border closures for 45 days per year if he decided it was in the “national interest,” as explained by my colleague Kylee Griswold.

Notably, the Republican-led House passed a border bill the year prior that would have actually secured the southern border. The bill incorporated several key Trump-era policies such as reinstating the Remain-in-Mexico policy, restricting asylum eligibility to legal ports of entry, and preserving Title 42. But Democrats dismissed it and instead insisted with their “bipartisan” bill that true border security could only be achieved by allowing millions of illegal immigrations to flood the nation annually.

Neither Biden’s “comprehensive immigration reform” plan nor the “bipartisan” border bill were passed. Biden’s plan to allow 30,000 migrants in per month did nothing to stop the invasion — in fact, it only “legalized” the invasion. And yet southern border encounters have dramatically dropped since President Donald Trump assumed office.

Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection highlighted by Fox News shows that southern border encounters for the month of February were 8,326 compared to 189,913 in 2024, 156,630 in 2023 and 166,010 in 2022.

As CBS News put it in a post on X, “The number of migrants crossing the U.S. southern border illegally in President Trump’s first full month in office plunged to a level not seen in at least 25 years …”

But how could that be? We were reliably informed that in order to secure our border we had to grant amnesty to criminals and allow millions of illegal aliens to enter the country in a year.

As I previously wrote, “Trump signed a series of executive orders upon taking office that ordered construction of the border wall to resume, declared a national emergency at the southern border, reinstated his ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy … and authorized the National Guard to work with Customs and Border Patrol agents to secure the border …”

Democrats tried to force the American people into accepting amnesty and controlled invasion as the price for so-called “border security.” It was a calculated maneuver meant to weaken our sovereignty, and a few so-called Republicans fell into the trap. But as the historic border numbers seen under Trump prove, Americans never had to concede their sovereignty to gain sovereignty — they just needed a leader.
