‘This Man Stood Up’: Powerful Ad Reminds Voters Of All That Trump Has Survived

‘Think about all they’ve done to Donald Trump,’ the video, from Super PAC Building America’s Future, begins.

Talk about your powerful closing arguments.

The Trump campaign has done a lot smart things to win this election. From the Joe Rogan interview to Chief Sanitation Officer Donald behind the wheel of a garbage truck, Trump and his campaign brain trust have adroitly taken the “throw the bums” out case to the American people.

But arguably the most convincing 67 seconds of the last stages of the campaign arrives in the form of an ad from a Trump-supporting conservative nonprofit — as Election Day looms.

Building America’s Future late last week released an ad, titled “Moments.” It’s a poignant and succinct survey of the “attacks on Donald Trump and his supporters in recent months,” the super PAC said, according to Fox News. The ad is part of a $1.2 million national television, paid digital and texting campaign in swing states, the news outlet reported.

‘And, Finally, It Was Bullets’

“Think about all they’ve done to Donald Trump. First it was hoaxes, witch hunts, and impeachments,” the clip begins, noting the bogus Russia collusion narrative and the many attempts by Democrats and RINOs to remove Trump from office.

Then the ad note the FBI raid on the former president’s home. It quickly sums up the weaponization of the Biden-Harris Department of Justice and the left-led investigations, indictments, show trials, and kangaroo court convictions

“And, finally, it was bullets in a Pennsylvania field,” the baritone-voice narrator says amid images of the Butler, Pennsylvania, campaign rally in which the U.S. Secret Service allowed a gunman to murder a Trump rallygoer, seriously wound two others, and come within a fraction of an inch of blowing out the brains of the GOP’s presidential candidate.

“And after all of that, this man stood up, with blood draining down his face, pumped his fist in the air and told us to, ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’” the narrator says over the iconic images of Trump, surrounded by Secret Service agents, defiantly rallying his supporters.

The ad then cuts to Trump with a bandaged ear along with clips of America and Americans as the GOP standard bearer pledges, “America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, brighter, happier, stronger, freer, greater, and more united than ever before.”

“And we will make America great again,” Trump says to cheers.

The video includes a reminder of the disdain that Democrats in power, their allies in the propaganda press, and the Washington, D.C. elites, hold in their hearts for half of the electorate they govern.

“We know what they think of us,” the narrator says as the ad cuts to President Joe Biden describing Trump supporters as “garbage.”

The ad concludes with a call to action. A charge to bring back the democracy the Biden-Harris era has stolen from America through mandates, executive orders and lawfare, through harassment, intimidation, imprisonment and violence against political enemies.

“So If Donald Trump can get through all of that, we can get out to vote,” the ad ends with the words “Go Vote” superimposed over a clip of Donald Trump rallying fellow conservatives at July’s Republican Party convention — just days after he was shot in the head.

As of Sunday afternoon, the ad had nearly 74 million views on Elon Musk’s X account.

For Trump supporters, the 67-second video drives home the point the former president has long made: “They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you, and I’m just standing in the way.”

The ad makes a compelling case for conservatives thinking about sitting this election out, and for the votes of the few battleground undecideds who remain.
