Breaking News Alert 'People Violate Laws Anytime They Want': PA County Dems Defy State Law To Count Hundreds Of Illegal Votes

Here’s How The Media Are Lying Right Now: ‘60 Minutes,’ SCOTUS, And DOJ Edition

When the media don’t have their hands full with a gigantic falsehood like the Russia collusion hoax, they’re busy selling Americans a host of small lies that are just as devious.

Oftentimes there’s one big lie that the national media are pushing for a news cycle or more, but other times there are a bunch of somewhat smaller lies and deceptions that are no less insidious. Let’s look at a few currently in the works now that we’re less than a month away from Election Day.

Trump Skips a Single Interview, and They Say It Means He’s Scared

CNN’s newly rehired, bigger and bitter Brian Stelter suggested in his daily newsletter this week that there’s a double standard in how the larger media ecosystem reacted to former president Donald Trump declining an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes.” He wrote Monday, “Imagine if Kamala Harris had committed to a ‘60 Minutes’ interview and then backed out, leaving CBS in the lurch. Because that’s what Trump did — with few followup stories or think pieces claiming he’s afraid of tough questions.”

Predictably, Stelter went on to cite a Democrat as the basis for his implication. And not just any Democrat, but the husband of Kamala Harris’ campaign chairwoman, who wrote on social media that there should have been “columns and Sunday show roundtables and miscellaneous other chatter for weeks” about Trump declining the interview.

Trump has done approximately 5 billion national media interviews in the past two years, from CNN to Fox News and major podcasts in between. Kamala meanwhile has done three national interviews since she was hoisted up as the Democrat nominee, all of which have been a riot: She appeared in one with her crutch, Tim Walz; the second interview was with an MSNBC woman who just a few days prior said Kamala didn’t really need to do interviews; and the third interview was on an aimless podcast called “Call Her Daddy.”

The suggestion that Trump is “afraid of tough questions” when he’s literally taken a bullet to the face and is still showing up for interviews should be greeted with a hammer to the kneecaps.

The Supreme Court Justices Are Political for Doing Their Job

Mike Allen at Axios had a ridiculous piece in his own Monday newsletter asserting that there was something afoul about the Supreme Court taking up cases to adjudicate — a process widely regarded as “their job.” He wrote, “The Supreme Court is about to dive deeper into some of the most contentious political issues dividing the country, at a time when it’s already veering from its longtime mission of staying above the political fray …”

By “already veering,” Allen meant that the court has ruled on urgent constitutional matters in dispute because Democrats up and down the East Coast have taken unprecedented steps to criminally prosecute a former president who is running for president again. Because Democrats have escalated the political stakes to matters of criminality, according to Allen, it’s actually the court that is the problem for interfering. This would be like a rapist getting shot by police only for the witnesses to blame the victim for calling 9-1-1.

What Allen is doing is what Democrats always do — undermining our constitutional guard rails and democratic institutions when they get in the way of their hold on power.

Accusing Trump of Potentially Doing What Democrats Are Doing Now

The New York Times devoted four of its reporters last week to making the case, in earnest, that Trump poses a legal threat to his political opponent.

Now that you’ve stopped laughing, this is what the paper said: “Though there is no evidence that [President] Biden or Harris had any involvement in the charges Trump faces, relating to the 2020 election and mishandling classified documents, he frequently asserts that these cases justify his plans for retribution.”

It would be interesting to ask the Times what “evidence” is needed of the Kamala-Biden administration’s “involvement” in prosecuting Trump, outside of “their administration is prosecuting Trump at this moment.”

It’s their Justice Department doing it! Why should anybody need to see more evidence to say that?

But causing frustration about these things is the point, which is why our national media work around the clock to demoralize and depress voters who question their lies.
