John Fetterman Is A Danger To Himself

John Fetterman can’t do that much damage to the nation yet, but he is doing irreversible damage to himself.

Sen. John Fetterman should not be in the U.S. Senate. Looking past the facts that his politics are utterly unhinged and that he was elected through a dubious mail-in voting system, Fetterman has not fully recovered from the stroke he suffered while on the campaign trail and remains neurologically and physically compromised. Simply put, the man is not well and may not get better.

During his 2022 primary campaign, Fetterman suffered a well-publicized stroke, after which doctors implanted a pacemaker and defibrillator. While he was in the hospital, his wife Gisele continued to campaign for him, but even after securing the Democratic Party’s nomination, he continued to struggle — a fact that has been further substantiated by his recent hospitalization after attending a daylong Senate Democrat retreat in the nation’s capital.

According to The New York Times, a publication that has nothing to gain by ousting him from power, Fetterman’s hearing issues get worse in “stressful or unfamiliar” situations. Reportedly, Fetterman has even described his situation as “trying to make out the muffled voice of the teacher in the ‘Peanuts’ cartoon, whose words could never be deciphered.”

So delayed is his recovery, undeniably because of his career, that the senator’s office has been retrofitted with monitors that provide closed caption transcriptions of spoken communications. Similar hardware has even been installed on the Senate floor to accommodate him when it’s his turn to preside over the body.

The people who pushed his semi-sentient body across the finish line in Pensylvania’s Senate race should be ashamed; anyone could have run as a Democrat in that race, and the vote-by-mail regime would have secured his or her victory. Fetterman didn’t need to run.

And frankly, there is a compelling political argument for why he should remain in office. Should he resign, Pennsylvania’s Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro would have carte blanche to appoint whomever he wants to the vacant seat. The most prominent replacement for Fetterman is his wife, Gisele, who many suggested ought to replace him during the campaign and who is even further left than her husband.

While serving as the post-stroke surrogate for her husband during the campaign, Mrs. Fetterman was hailed as the “de facto” candidate. President Joe Biden even said she would be a “great, great lady in the Senate.”

But the reality remains. Gisele Fetterman, who lived in the U.S. as an illegal alien for nearly a decade, is a radical leftist who supports “immigration reform, recreational marijuana legalization and LGBTQ rights.” It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what a former illegal immigrant who operates an organization described by CNN as a “Bernie Sanders fantasyland” would push to implement in regard to immigration, marijuana, and LGBT “rights” if she were given political power.

And considering the fact that she fully embraced her role as a surrogate candidate while her husband had just survived a life-altering stroke, one can’t help but be skeptical about her repeatedly eschewing the notion of holding office.

Sen. Fetterman is a radical with uncomfortably left-wing politics — he brought a man who had been convicted of murder to the State of the Union — but we at least know where he stands. Mrs. Fetterman, on the other hand, is a former illegal immigrant whose ideals are shrouded behind vague platitudes and a willingness to drag her husband’s body across the finish line.

John Fetterman should not be in the U.S. Senate. Almost immediately after his stroke, he was right back on the campaign trail. He never had time to recover properly from a stroke that nearly killed him.

In many ways, it is deeply disturbing to see what he and his family will do to hold on to political power. He is putting himself in harm’s way by refusing to take the necessary amount of time off to recover, and if his campaign is any indication, it is partly at his wife’s behest.

He currently lacks the capacity to do that much damage to the nation, but one can only hope he, and his loved ones, realize the irreversible damage he is doing to himself.
