Congressman Exposes Critical Race Theory In Military Academies After Secretary Of Defense Denied Its Existence

After Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin contended that the Department of Defense does not embrace critical race theory in an exchange with Rep. Matt Gaetz, Rep. Mike Waltz offered definitive proof to the contrary, referencing a letter that he received from the superintendent of the West Point Military Academy.

Waltz read from the letter, quoting the superintendent when he said “With regards to critical race theory, there is one course that has this theory as part of the syllabus. There are two lessons on critical race theory. There is a book on critical race theory titled ‘Critical Race Theory: An Introduction.”

Waltz noted that the issue of critical race theory was not dug up by lawmakers but brought to his attention by “cadets, by families, by soldiers” who were concerned over the spread of this theory which is “rooted in Marxism” and that labels “an entire race of people as oppressor and oppressed.”

Perhaps more alarming, Waltz pointed out that West Point hosted a seminar titled “Understanding Whiteness and White Rage” and led by Carol Anderson, who has called Trump a white nationalist and called the GOP a party of white nationalism, also adding that Trump and the GOP were working to destroy democracy and the American people.

Anderson is the author of the book “White Rage,” which argues that “The trigger for white rage, inevitably, is black advancement.”

Whiteness has become the target of several critical race theorists, some of whom have even called it a “parasitic condition,” while another prominent theorist remarked “treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity” in an excerpt from an essay entitled “Abolish the White Race.”

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, spoke at the hearing, saying that he “wants to understand white rage,” asking what “caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America,” implying that the events of January 6th were caused by white rage.
