On today’s episode of Federalist Radio Hour, Spencer Klavan, host of “The Young Heretics” podcast, joins Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky for a conversation focused on the philosophy of the modern left, from Nietzsche to Foucault to Darwin.

“Conservatives get this wrong,” Klavan said. “We think that if we can just point out one more logical inconsistency in woke philosophy, we can just argue that this doesn’t quite make any sense,” he said. “The nonsense is the point. Saying two plus two equals five is a tactic to put us on the back foot.”

Klavan also contextualizes this moment of cultural anxiety from a historical perspective and discusses how unprecedented technology is influencing our politics and culture.

“There is a point to which you have to just say I’m not going to be able to argue you out of this crazy nonsense. The better thing to do is to offer people something truer and better and to offer it in a way that will play in the media landscape. That’s a really hard thing to feed truth into Twitter and into social media,” Klavan added.
