On this episode of the The Federalist Radio Hour, Alana Goodman and Daniel Halper joined host Ben Domenech to discuss Jeffrey Epstein, whose death has become one the foremost topics in American politics, the #MeToo movement, and many potentially real and fake conspiracy theories.

Goodman serves as the senior investigative reporter at the Washington Free Beacon, and Halper is a bestselling author and formerly wrote for the New York Post and The Weekly Standard. In their new book, “A Convenient Death,” Goodman and Halper explore the mysterious demise of Jeffrey Epstein

Of the most surprising elements they uncovered in their research was Epstein’s self-awareness. Hapler argued he acted as a con man, convincing even himself his behavior wasn’t bad. Compounded with his extreme wealth, this led some to believe he could lessen his sentence leading up to his death.

After investigating his controversial death, Goodman said evidence points to the involvement of foul play.

“There was no one who said that they saw prior indications of him appearing to be suicidal. In fact, the opposite,” she said. “His lawyer and friend for several years, David Shone, said that he had met with him several days before his death and Epstein appeared to be in good spirits, he looked healthy, he was fired up about fighting this case. So by all means, no one who was around him saw this coming.”
